It is admirable that you went for drawing despite everything and pursue it. You must love art seriously!
And a hobby I think is what I like and what makes me happy doing. Doesn't much matter if I'm not good. So it is sad that your sister stopped drawing just like that, hope she finds the fun in it again.

ps. my releationship with my bother is more like a fight between cats and dogs so not sure I can call that healthy :D.

I wasn't "allowed" to do art before, since it was my big sister's thing, and if I started and, god forbid, was better than her, she'd lose interest.

I can low-key relate to her in the aspect that I would be kind of disappointed if my younger brother turned out better than me in art, especially now since he told me that he's interested in graphic design after I've done art since I was a kid. But that's crazy that you weren't really "allowed", I've been charging my brother for art lessons lol. She should've done the same.
