that's always been a problem with my coloring style [:sweat_01:] I tend to have washed out or really flat looking drawings.

I was planning on drawing an actual diner background but I didn't have the time. I might draw it later on though!

I was going for a sort of chaotic background but it looks way too busy. I've always had trouble with figuring out a coherent background for illustrations. if anyone has tips it would be much appreciated ^^ [image]

Not sure if anyone else has this problem? I'm trying to practice drawing guys too, but I find it so boring. I really like drawing different hairstyles, facial features, builds, etc. but every guy I draw looks exactly the same. I always want to draw them quickly and get it over with. It's hard to i…

sorry, I totally forgot to post this!! Here it is: [image] (if it's too late I don't mind having my spot being taken by someone else)

Since you draw, I assume that you have a basic idea of which task takes longer/more effort but I would personally rank them: $ Lettering $$ Panel design $$$ Coloring (lighting and shading) $$$$ Sketching (depending on how detailed) $$$$$ Coloring (flats) $$$$$$ Backgrounds (also depending on drawn …

If it hasn't been claimed yet I can take #62!

I don't know any comics but the style reminded me of a game called Night in the Woods. The characters are very flat and simple with a similar background, but the storytelling is amazing. Most of the scenes that were intense came from the dialogue, music, lighting, etc. For a really simple art styl…

So I haven't been keeping up with updates but I'm pretty sure the creator ad revenue program is ending at the end of 2021. I've been on the program for a while but in the beginning it was extremely difficult to maintain 40k views per month even when posting once a week. Plus you can't take the money…

Hi! Here's some of my work: https://www.deviantart.com/sorible This needs to be updated but here's my base prices: [image]

Don't feel like you have to be consistent if you can't. I also have pretty bad adhd and about a million different hobbies, but I find it helps to keep cycling between them to prevent burnout. I focused on only traditional art for a long time but I would get bored and start making up excuses not to w…

Here's mine! It only has a few episodes (thanks to the unintended hiatus ◠̈): https://tapas.io/series/Blooming-Days/info

I've been having a problem where safari says there were too many redirects and won't let me even log in. I deleted cookies, reset my laptop, everything, but it still wouldn't work so eventually I switched to a different browser but it's still super annoying.

For events, tapas usually returns ink through bonus ink and not support ink regardless if its creator or reader. I won 1st in the pride contest and got a ton of bonus ink, but since I couldn't use it as revenue, it was pretty much useless to me (except for being able to give it to other creators). I…

By that I mean all the support buttons for non creators were unlocked during Inksgiving, so you can give ink to them. But since the event is over, you can only send ink to those who have ink support available (comic creators or writers).

I assume it would be the bonus ink since the support buttons are all locked now?

So I've actually taken a look at your work before but in How To Be A Goblin Prince I noticed the bright pink in his hair stands out so well from the rest of the duller / desaturated colors! The chapters are short (definitely understandable [:cry_02:]) but the humor is something I really don't see in…

Don't worry, that's exactly how I look like daily [:smug_01:] I have no idea where the stereotype of well dressed art school students came from.

Hi! I might have a similar art style to what you're looking for! I haven't updated it in a while but some of my work is on my deviant art: https://www.deviantart.com/sorible

happy inksgiving!! finally going to start updating my series to match the one on webtoon: https://tapas.io/series/When-Winter-Ends/info

It helps to take care of yourselves not just mentally but physically too. I'm barely coming back to work on comics after the past couple(?) months when I got pretty sick. I couldn't go to the hospital for a bit because of insurance complications and I had to temporarily give up all my hobbies so I …

I had someone message me that another person reuploaded my work to the exact same subreddit I uploaded to. What really annoyed me was that someone gave them an award (I think it was maybe 400 coins, but either way it wasn't free). I asked the mods if they were able to refund the person who gave the …

In the case that you get featured, you'll probably have to sign off the rights to be Webtoon or Tapas exclusive. There's a lot of featured creators have to take their series off different sites.

You have amazing art [:hype_01:] I can totally see this being an original! To get as many possible writers to see this, you might want to retitle the post to something like: Artist looking for Fantasy Writer [PAID]

I like to use GIMP, Photoshop, or a photo editing program to scale the image smaller and then use an image compressor (for an online version just search up jpeg or png compressor). You can also work in 300 dpi and later paste it to a 72 dpi file.

Hi! Here's my commission info and examples: https://www.deviantart.com/sorible info [image]

I actually do create a lot of character designs and art, but I'm not too experienced in visual game elements. If you have any more info about what kind of artwork you're specifically looking for, that would be helpful! I typically allow commissioners to use the final product without credit, but most…

oh that's cool! I actually didn't know that was a thing
