Greetings! My name is Tethyka Rinehart, the host of the Discord server "Artists & Authors United." It is a Discord server founded on the principles of artistic creators, be that in writing or art--coming together to support, and encourage each other in the pursuit of their dreams!
Our Discord server is a place that is welcome to all creators no matter where they are on their journey, as a place they can go to and be lifted up, helped in times of need, cared for, and inspired. Each of our members help to create a supportive and engaging environment, a place full of people that want to see each other prosper, thrive, and succeed in our respective dreams!
Now, about our famous collabs! We come together regularly to collaborate in chibi and full body collabs, crossover fanart events, themed art and writing events, and role plays. There's always an event or special feature we're running on our website and social medias, as we want to support and help our members reach their creative goals, and you could be a part of these too!
Why do we ask our would-be-members to apply instead of giving out a link?
Our Discord server is invite only to potential-members who apply through our site to join, where they are asked just two questions. We ask that our would-be members acknowledge first, and then follow the rules. We also want to make sure all future members come in with motives that add to our server positively, to make it a safe and fun environment where we can all feel supported.
One of the biggest reasons we have a screening process is to help minimize the potential would-be bullies or instigators coming in. We want to have fun on our server, that's it!
We are all adults on the server, and we do not like any unnecessary drama; we all have our own lives and RL troubles, and though we do help each other through our respective trials, we do not add flares of drama, attention seeking, or otherwise toxic behavior. This type of stuff we want to leave off the server to maintain a positive environment where we can all go to enjoy ourselves, and create together.
We are more than just a promote dump server and do not allow promoting and dashing! If you join, please make sure it is for the right motive-- you will absolutely be encouraged and held up! But please be sure you are ready to do the same for our members!

The theme for the Chibi Collab is dressing up in a costume in a haunted house. We have three teams to choose from, each with their own motives: red, blue, and gold. The Full Body Collab theme is Midnight Masquerade, where MC's dress in their spooky best for a dance under the moonlight! We still have a few numbered slots left, but they're going fast! Submission deadline is October 24th!
