I’ve been going way harder on drawing recently and it’s quickly taking a toll on my arm/shoulder/palm. I’m planning to excercise more, but I also wanted to know if any of you had any resources for stretching out/working out these problems. Here are some of my favorites just to start.

I’ve seen these stretches a ton but the only stretches that ever made a noticeable difference for me were ones given to me by my doctor when I was at risk for carpal tunnel.

Also ice baths for the wrist!

Here are some I started using when my wrist started to play up. They really helped, along with giving my hand a little rest for a few days.

Something I highly recommend is buying a wrist brace to sleep in. This stops you from smooshing your wrist in your sleep, or from tensing it into a fist. You can also wear it during the day when you're not drawing, to help you keep it still and rested. It's been a lifesaver for me. I've gone back to not experiencing much wrist pain at all, and I think a major part of that is bracing my wrist when I'm not drawing with it.

Yes! I’m here for wrist braces too though I don’t use mine much anymore but also one that really really restricts wrist movement.

I used to have a pretty flimsy brace that i could still wiggle my wrist around in and apparently the strain of pushing against the interior of the brace like that ended up making my wrist worse!
