Tecnically having a Patreon never hurts, but at the end of the day it really depends on how many patrons you think you're going to have compared to the rewards you're handing out.
I think that keeping in mind the amount of people subbed to you is a big factor, since you're really looking for a the fraction of those people who are willing to pay you monthly for your rewards. Say you have 100 readers, and 10% of your go on your patreon and sub for $1 (unlikely but easy to calculate!), you'll get $10 monthly. Is that an amount worth the extra work you're putting into the rewards?
In terms of how to get to that calculation, there's a lot of different methods, I think. Look at how many tips you're getting, look at how many of your readers are 'active readers' (comments, likes, etc). Even ask in the description of one of your chapters if you're unsure.
In regards to "am I good enough, in technical skills?" I don't think that should even be a question, honestly? If you have X amount of people interested in your content, they're interested in your content, present skill level included. I wouldn't worry about 'am I good enough's as much as 'should I put the effort in'!
