I am 64 years old, worked in the medical field for over 40 years, have journals going back to 1974, and have my first published drawing from 1964 when I was 7 years old, so I have lots of autobiographical cartoons.

My Auto-Bio cartoons start The Night Before Groundhog's Day, 1957:

Here's one about the Day I Was Born:

Ha those are great. I think most people here are under 30 so not enough life lived yet. But the closest thing would be gag a day comics based on an author’s daily life. I read a couple of those

Your statement, Inspector Spinda, of "I think most people here are under 30 so not enough life lived yet" carries some validity and weight.

Being into webcomics only for a couple of years, I've noticed the virtual plethora of, for lack of a better term, fantasy comics. It set me to thinking:Maybe these young people are drawn toward non-realistic comics because, as you so aptly stated, they haven't lived enough life yet.

However, mundane, real life, day to day events can be made entertaining. For example, I went to my Auto-Bio file and just randomly chose such a situation of a conversation with BIL, who works at Lowes:

It is my hope that others will share some of their life through cartoons.

Thanks for your comment, Inspector Spinda!

PS: I would give you a Like, but have already used up my quota for today!

no problem. and yeah. I love slice of life type things. I think any age can be into any type of genre, but I agree younger people tend to be more drawn to fantasy. but here's an autobiographical one i really like:

What your mom joked about a ground hog day and you is solid. It's funny :joy: You have great sense of humor, sir!

I don't think I saw many autobiographical comics in web based platforms, but it's a popular genre when it comes to a printed book market.

To make more viewers for your work, it's good to have both web comics and printed comics for sure.

Good morning Davey, I believe that all of my work in tapas is in some ways autobiographical, but let's present ourselfs for real this time.

My name is Dante Jarc, Im twenty years old and I live in Argentina, Latin America. Seein it from a creative point of view, the entirety of my comic series in tapas is a true representation of what I am and what Im living, because well: Yes Im Me, and yes I've been stucked in a glass prison for quite the time now (that being almost two whole years, and let's not talk about our corona friend that's been around with us picking on everyone, especially poor people).

That said. Art is not only a passion for Me, but life itself, so let's make art all together!

Thank you Inspector Spinda! I only briefly checked out OffKey and it seems the episodes are what could be set in real life, but not exactly autobiographical.
I'm referring to situations which truly took place in the artist's life..
For example, this Tapas episode is a pictorial and nearly verbatim account of something which happened to me:

My good friend! dantecitesin! How good to see you here!

I would add to dantecitesin's introduction by adding that I am, truly, a big fan of his artwork! His art is beautiful to behold and his humor is outrageously funny!

We had a crossover comic on Tapas that was just so much fun!

Hope to see you around more, my friend!

When I was in my 20's, I was really into baseball and loved playing softball. But I'm terribly uncoordinated.

I use to take some of the psych patients out to a field near the hospital and play ball. In those days, the nurses still wore white uniforms and caps. I wore a white baseball cap with my nursing pin on it.

One time, while subbing for the second baseman on my brother's team, a line drive was hit at me right in the face. I picked the ball up and threw the batter out at first.

Hence, this GIF is autobiographical:

Hahaha I like the font. My experience of making a printed book is quite limited but there are many print shops providing a step by step guideline for self-publishers.

After printing your books, attending a comic convention or having a consignment sale with local bookstores might be a good start. There are bookstores where indie artist can sell their work. I recall Forbidden Planet has it and their profit share was 50/50 or 60/40 something.

Hello @daveydo22, I make mine based on my life. There are some exaggerations, but all are based on things that have happened. Maybe you'd find it interesting  Mine actually begins on the day I decided to draw comics. My partner and I were walking and well...the first episode happens.

EXCELLENT, Gramkrackerhan!

I only read the first two episodes, but will return because you've got a new subscriber!

Wow! Thank you! By the way, what is your link?

Edit: I realized I can just go to your page haha. My brain is working a little slow today

Your comic makes me want to try doing my own slice of life comic, but at this point that would just be me feeding crows while my dog sniffs stuff.

Not necessarily... my life was a lot more interesting in my 20's when I was experimenting and running around doing all sorts of weird and often illegal stuff. Now I just work for a company 8 hours a day, walk my dog, and draw or write for the remaining time. Oh, and dishes. So many dishes.

Go for it, crowstories!

My comic character, Dopey Joe, who is based on one of my most favorite past dogs Tobey Joe, is featured in one of my series, "Traveling Tapas" has been in scads of my creations.

Dopey Joe made his appearance in my first GIF, when I used someone else's dance template to create this one:
