Autobiographically speaking

Hello everyone.

I've just started on an autobiographical comic about growing up in Sheffield, UK during the 70s and 80s.
The plan is to show things that made a big impression on my creativity and imagination whilst experiencing the city, particularly with reference to the Sheffield music scene.

The idea is to have it unfold gradually.

I'm very much an old school cartoonist, so it'll be drawn on card and scanned in.

Has anybody else published similar material regarding art and music and its impact on a person?
I consider it a mixture of cultural memoir and psychogeographical exploration.

I haven't published autobiographical work myself, but I've seen several. One I know of that's ongoing is Life Remains by Daco.

I have been thinking about making an autobiographical comic for a very long time actually.

First I need to know what I want to talk about. Some things I think would be too personal though.

Thinking it would be my times in middle school through my freshman year of high school
