So, this might require a separate topic to properly dive into this but reviews and unsolicited criticism are kinda a big taboo here in the webcomic community, and for very good reason, which is that a lot of webcomics are made by minors and/or are just a hobby for the creator, and serious unsolicited critique has the very real potential (and danger) to drive those people out of the community.
In the case of what just happened with @ghostieblu, you kinda just said that their comic wasn’t noteworthy to their face. Now I haven’t read much of their comic myself, but I’ve skimmed through it a bit and I would say that it AT LEAST deserves an explanation as to why you have deemed it unworthy. Especially in a public forum like this where people can see all of the submissions you are getting/accepting/rejecting.
By all means you have the right to your opinion but in such a small close knit community like this, respect matters a lot, and it’s very easy to lose it if people think you’re behaving like a jerk.
TLDR: reviewing webcomics requires a bit more tact and respect than reviewing a Hollywood movie does. Tread carefully
