I live in the New England area so unfortunately, while we do have a lot of fast food places, we don't have a large variety of them.
Faves: BK, McD's, Taco Bell, Dunkin Donuts (naturally)
I don't really hate but don't really like KFC or Wendy's so we never go there. I went to Popeye's for the first time recently and it was okay.
SO....... about 3 or 4 years ago, a SONIC opened up about 10 minutes away from where I live. This is the first Sonic to open up in my state and everyone FREAKED OUT. For MONTHS traffic was backed up in that area. Eventually, I went to Sonic and it was incredibly subpar food. The shakes were amazing though.
A few years ago, myself, hubby, and a friend of ours drove down to Atlanta, GA for AWA (a good 24 hour drive. Never again.) One exciting part of the trip was going to a fast food place our friend loves and of course we don't have in our area at all... Steak N Shake!
We went on Sunday which was a terrible idea because I guess kids eat free on Sundays? The place was disgusting to start off with. At the table across from us was definitely a man with two wives and 6 kids (hey, I'm not judging, just from my area we don't see that kind of family ever). The food was so SO BAD. The "french fries" were potato sticks. Not even french fries. And the burger was also terrible, though I don't remember much about it.
When I was in Japan, I tried Mos Burger since everyone says it's "so much better" than McD's. No. No. It was also terrible. The cheese was sliding off of the burger. Also the fry+onion ring combo comes with two little onion rings. ._. It was honestly terrible.
