Beta Reader collaboration (story feedback/review) | Long term or short term

Hello, I’m Denise Wilde. I’m the author of Alpha Longing, which is a BL Omegaverse Werewolf story. I’m seeking a partner or a small group of individuals who are interested in creating a safe shared space for discussing, reviewing, and providing constructive feedback on each other’s work.

I’m looking for a serious partner relationship where we can engage at least 2-3 times a week to share our work or upcoming chapters. Also, those who can respect other authors’ writing styles. Our discussions would aim to provide insightful feedback, stimulating ideas, and mutual motivation, ultimately helping us all grow as writers.

If you want to know if our style is compatible, feel free to read at least 2-3 chapters of my novel, and I will do the same. Also, your work could be posted somewhere else other than Tapas. It can be posted on any other platform.

Our primary platform would be Discord, where we can maintain regular interaction and exchange. As a first-time writer, sometimes I struggle with the consistency of my characters, and I feel like I need a second eye for my work, and honestly, any help would be appreciated it. But remember, this interaction is mutual.

Sometimes we are afraid of what others will say (trust me, I'm like that too) or if people will give bad reviews, but that will not happen with me. Any feedback provided will be honest but respectful, with suggestions for improvement.

The invitation is open to anyone interested in BL stories. I’m open to any genre but not harems. So, for those interested, please feel free to reply to this post or directly message me.

Edit: Engaging 2-3 times a week can be just a quick chat or a full discussion on the chapter, work, etc. It did not have to be at a specific time or compulsive; you can just write your opinion when you have your time and drop your work. It can be on Google Documents because I can write comments on the paragraph etc., or on the server.

Note: If you want just an honest quick review swap and or feedback on here, those are welcome too. I’m looking for feedback on my character’s consistent tone and plot overall, not grammar or syntax. If you want to review your grammar, syntax, pacing, and overall feedback, let me know.

Heyy! I'm Cat I've got a completed novel on Tapas and I'm working on a new one (and a few short stories). I've done lots of reviews and worked with other authors to talk about ideas and motivate each other.

It would be good to know what timezone you're in. Because it would be a bit difficult if whenever you have time to talk, I was sleeping
Also, what do you mean by engaging at least 2-3 times a week? Just having a quick chat is definitely no issue but reading through a new chapter that often could be a bit difficult sometimes. I'm a university student, so some weeks are a bit more busy for me than others

I am willing to collaborate for a long as a few months or a year at maximum. This is because I have to put a lot of time into writing and revisions so the output won't be as fast.
I will do an active role in reading and exchanging ideas, regardless.

I am good with you choosing one. None are completed so...it would be good to just choose one and work on it. I gave you two coz they are ones I have a done lots of planning but I have just started writing. I want you to choose something you have more interest in, since it is for a long time collaboration.

Oh well, I'd love the be part of the discord server! But just so you know, I've never read an BL Omegaverse story, so I don't now much about the "rules" of that category. But I'm sure I can give some feedback on the characters and anything else that comes to my mind while reading!

Hey, if anyone is interested in long-term collaboration, I created a small, tight-knit writing community on Discord called Alpha Writers' Den. It's a new active, friendly community that's all about constructive feedback, sharing resources, and having engaging discussions about all things writing.

One of our key features is the ability for authors to have their own channels, which helps keep feedback focused and well-organized. For that, we have a dedicated system for long-term partnerships, so you can continually exchange feedback with the same person, allowing for more depth and consistency in critiques.

So, the collaboration is not needed to be with me. You can find someone and have a dedicated space for each story and exchange feedback on their own private space while you can hang out with other writers in the other channels.
