Hey comic readers, can you help with a little info on your choices of reads?
How much of a factor is color when you guys are selecting what comics to read?

A: Very important. I very rarely read black and white comics.
B: Somewhat important. I'm more likely to read a colored comic than a black and white one.
C: Not important. Color doesn't factor in to what comics I read at all.
D: I prefer black and white comics over colored ones.

Thanks  just trying to decide on if it would be worth while to hire a colorist or not for my black and white series2.

C over all tho I admit I’m more likely to click on a colored icon over a black and white icon, tho it dosnt mean the comic itself needs to be in color; nor do I expect it to be. Colors are just more I grabbing

C: Not important. Color doesn't factor in to what comics I read at all.

It's not really important to me whether it's black and white or colored and it would certainly never be a reason for me to decide if I pick it up or not. I do have to say though that I'm sometimes awed when seeing a beautifully-colored one. Then again, I guess that also happens when it's beautifully drawn in black and white

C: I care more about the story and the color scheme should fit the story

C, it comes down to having an appealing story and art. Though I think you'll get biased answers with is mostly being creators here. It would be interesting to see if a poll of readers had a different result!

generally A, but I'll read b/w if its well made!

I'm a solid B. I'm generally a fan of color and especially like @TAMAnnoying said, a color icon/cover is much more likely to catch my eye than a BW one.

Buuuuut I also read plenty of Black and White or gray scale comics too. Ultimately I care more about the story than the art rendering, so long as the art is clear and easy to read/understand. Some gray scale and black and white comics have such poor contrast or form definition that it can be difficult to understand what's going on in a panel. But on the other end of the spectrum, it's just as possible that a color comic has awful/hard to look at color choices. So like, yeah it doesn't matter too much (to me).

for me it's A, even though I'm following one comic that's in black and white

C. As long as the comic works and looks nice in a particular style, I’ll like it.

C. If the style works I don't care if it's grayscale, solid black and white, or color.

C. presence or lack of color means little to nothing, I'm more interested in the content itself

C: whether the comic is in b&w or color does not influence my choice to read it or not.
For me, color is important only if it's important to the story from the point of view of the artist who draw it, and thus, if there is a specific, story enhancing, deliberate work on the colors.
