Bot followers on Tapas?

Anyone else suddenly get a ton of subs randomly in a day and the no subs at all for several days?

Since the start of the month I’ve been getting an influx of subs but at random times that don’t correspond to my updates. Not many comments or likes but like 10 new subs in one day. Does anyone find that weird?

Seems you're in people's notifications today. That's probably where it's coming from. You should look there.

That happened to me once too. I even sat down at my desktop and checked every new subscriber, and they all looked completely normal. Nothing that looked like bots or anything like that.

If I remember right, it seemed to be connected to some kind of newsletter, update, or something like that. I was never able to confirm it though. It only happened once.

Hmmm... Not sure if it was one, but once my first episode has recieved a comment. Something like "Your writing style is phenomenal". I checked the account - it was a new one and the same comment appeared elsewhere too. Random novels from random authors. Maybe 6 or 7. Two days later the comments and account were gone. Bot?

Heck, I probably would be dumb enough to self-congratulate and return to working on the novel I'd quit because I thought "who cares?".
