Oh, mine aren't in criminal court. It's a civil matter. To see who really does own neko N7337.
It'd be tough to write about a dragon or a neko if it had to be from experience.
It used to be fairly common for novels to include some art, usually more like sketches. Check out old editions of books like the Pooh stories or Sherlock Holmes. If I had the talent for the art, I'd do that, too.
I think I did much the same in one of my stories, with asides offered by "The Scrivener".
I think that it depends on the kind of story you want to tell. Asking which is best may be a bit like asking, "which is better, a Phillips or a Slotted screwdriver?" First person takes advantage of the narrator's limited "field of view" & can create more mystery or misunderstanding. Third person p…
Among my stories (they're not comics) I've done chapters from less than 500 words to over 3000. I tried to keep them short - ish while looking for break points that sounded like a "wrap-up" for a scene or that sounded like a decent "cliff-hanger". Then again, they're not popular stories, so what do …
It is widely known that starting a new project is more fun than finishing any old project. But that never ends.
Tell people something about it. Make them want to read it.
I'm lost... what is a "what if" scenario, then? How does one use it inside a story?
I would prefer "she let out a soft groan" if it was made clear that she was trying to hold back any sounds. Otherwise, your editor's suggestion is about the same.
Ember mourns the passing of her knight.
Unless maybe I'm misunderstanding... A link (really a URL) identifies a location on the internet where there is some kind of content (images, a webpage, data files, etc.). A browser is software that can run on your device (laptop, etc.) that allows your device to access the internet locations & then…
Not so hot. The whole story is a slow-moving slog. Which is why none of it is posted yet & maybe won't be for a long while. Better luck to everyone else.
Now that you mention it, I have indeed seen their name on light bulb products.
Technically, that's not a light bulb. That's a vacuum tube, electronic forerunner of the transistor. Though I'm aware that some language translation software turns vacuum tube into "pipe" or "bulb", etc. I don't think anyone will confuse the tube maker with your character, though. If anyone even r…
I did some more homework on this. I think I'm guilty of it more than I realized. But this site seemed pretty easy to digest, so I thought I'd share it here (if outside links are okay).
I LIKE commas. When I was in school, IIRC, commas in text could be interpreted to mean minor pauses, instead of using ellipses. Does that ring a bell with anyone?
I've been doing some editing for a comic team & we've been having trouble connecting when they have new material to review. The last time, months went by before I discovered they'd left new pages for me. It really bites.
Yes, I see that & if I took time to do the additions of all the chapters for all the stories, I could indeed come up with numbers for comparison. I believe those numbers would be probably closer to a "click count" than actual views or reads. I think we can't know for sure if a person who clicked on …
Ember, a transmogrified dragon, learns more about fitting it. It's her first Christmas.
evil grin...........................
If one goes by subscriber count, then "Nicolle, A Catgirl Tale" with 22. Not much, really. Don't have a good insight into View counts.
Yep! (the rest of this answer is just "fill" to meet the min character count)
That's it. That's the whole message right there in the subject line. A Dad joke for the holidays.
My bad. I did that, too. Okay... so, I don't have to deal with impostor syndrome about story writing, because I don't get the kind of feedback you're getting. But I do sometimes have it in regards to some other work I do (tech writing, some electronics). It feels like they overestimate my resul…
I've heard it said quite a bit recently that, in any discussion or argument, when someone asserts their academic credentials that means they've run out of ideas. The opposite side of that ought to apply here. A shortage of academic credentials certainly does not mean you have no good ideas. Clear…
I'd never added up my subscribers before, but then I didn't think of that number as a measure of my success.
Forums posting rule #3?
Flashbacks, yes, often.
Surely that's going to have a rather wide range of numbers depending on the artist's reputation & skill, and the desired quantity of pages, the levels of detail, coloring & so on.
