Can I get advice on how to transition the format of your comics to tapas standard?

Hey y'all! I'm new here in tapas, but I've been doing comics in comicfury for over 7 years now. And I've been meaning to migrate my webcomic to tapas (and perhaps webtoons) once I finish revamping the old chapters.

So I have 2 questions:

1. How would you transition the format of your comics from a webcomic page format to a tapas/webtoon format? ("webcomic page" format as in the page by page format of standard comics, and "Tapas/Webtoon" format as in long vertical format) I'm posing this as a general question, in case I don't know some other important things yet.

2. Can I get feedback on my attempt at transitioning? Here's my latest comic page. I'm aware that it's not up to the standards of tapas and webtoon formats, since there are still remnants of my old format (like the proximity of panels, and the size of the speech ballons & font). I'm transitioning my webcomic slowly, and by the next chapter, I'll definitely use the standard format of tapas & webtoon. So can I get feedback on what I can improve to make it better "up to tapas standard" or at least for mobile reading?

So there is those help sections on both sites which has essential information. and webtoons also has offical youtube tutorials on format

You basicaly make your panels one in a row and add huge gaps between them for the sake of scrolling via phone.
The fonts - I believe I saw advice not to use more than 3 fonts for you comic and make sure you can read it on your phone atleast or just compare font size with the to popular series. and no one cares about you handwrighting.

Oh ok thanks for the response. but the cavas link is broken and the tapas isn't a tutorial. nonetheless, I can search the tutorials you mentioned.

You mentioned "handwriting", which I use for "text outside speech balloons". Do you think my handwriting is legible or decent? I'd really like some feedback, not just links, although I appreciate the response.

I gave you links because I am just a regular creator without even fifnished webtoon to give some advices - but I did some research before I started and try to follow it.

First of all - greatwork with color in your page!

But what I can say your page really need more space between panels - the size of white space depends on the action - if it's plain dialogue the space is bigger and if something happen fast the space is smaller, and it really help to build anticipation.

i didn't mean your personal handwrighting - just in general. Mind that there are a lot international readers who are not used to english handwrighing (like me lol). I think it's ok to have some sound effects like OH! and POW! written but handwritten dialogue is driving me crazy. Your example may have bigger font size for mobile - tapas and webtoons allow you to see mobile preview and save draft episodes if you want to check it irl but you can just zoom out in your app or browser

The space is needed mostly for scroll - so the pagesize on webtoon is 800X1280 - and thats like a size of your mobile phone screen - and then user swaps it and it goes up pretty fast - I mean less people are sliding with it bit by bit - they just enegrically swaps or taps and it flyes away - so there should not be any essential information or graphic - uless it works well with fast vertical motion

no problem - the size on tapas though is 940x4000 (2mb) - well it's is max size - you can just scale pages in same manner or reformat your comic for each platform individually - I kinda work with webtoons aspect with bigger canvas size 1600x2560 and downscale it for taps, and webtoons. Sometiems I unite pages for tapas - so that there are no delays in updating pages when you read- sometimes heavy pages take their time and you see that nasty cropping - so I try not to put any pictures 'between' the pages.

also there are web resourses to help you prepare pages - like croppy site - but i prefer to do it myself - it only takes a couple of minites to setup photoshop action and then I can batch resize all the pages
