Can I see your Cintiq set ups?

SO GUESS WHO GOT A CINTIQ FOR CHRISTMAS?

Not me! But I did get a hand-me-down Cintiq 20WSX that my step-brother just wasn't using anymore. It's an older model, but I'm not complaining since what better way to see if I even like using a Cintiq than on a free one?

Anyway, this is my first ever Cintiq and I've never done more than doodle on one before. With it being a fairly large one, I'm a little uncertain how I'm gonna arrange my set up when I get home, especially with me already having two monitors.

Does anyone else have a 3 monitor set up (including their Cintiq)? Or did you end up ditching one of your monitors for the Cintiq? I'd love to see pics of your set ups! Just for ideas of what the heck I'm gonna do with mine.

(I'm not at home right now) But I have a three screen set up. My monitor to the left. I have my laptop in the middle. And my off brand Cintiq to the right (because I'm right handed). I found that was the most comfortable. But I usually unplug my left monitor when I'm drawing because I don't need it. Really it's just playing around with the set and seeing what works best for you and what is the most comfortable.

Here's my setup. I also move the keyboard so it is to the left of my Cintiq, so I can use it with my left hand. Although I have a lot of shortcuts on the buttons, I still use the keyboard a fair amount. I would prefer to have a three screen setup, but muy laptop can only support one extra screen at a time, so it's either a big monitor or my Cintiq. I don't find it optimal, but it works

I do something similar to this: only I keep my keyboard on my lap. Since I have a Pro13 (with no shortcut keys) it's easier to access the keyboard that way.

I've tried having my keyboard in my lap, but I always manage to drop it >.< I sit weirdly with my legs

hey just a warning i am an absolute slob

for some reason my laptop wont detect it as a screen so i cant split the display but i cant even see the laptop screen when im sitting at this big boy so it doesnt bother me too much

I can't take a picture of all this since I am smack in the middle of it buuut...

I am one of the douchebags who works in the couch or bed. Yea sue me. I have a cintiq 13HD but I have a feeling even if I had a bigger one I would find a way to have it in my lap because my back hurts when I work at a desk.

I keep my laptop on a desk to my right since the cintiq cord connects to the cintiq on the righthand side and a couple cords prior to my current one broke faster with wear and tear when I had the laptop on my left. The cintiq itself is usually in my lap on top of a pillow or two. The most recent add to the setup is my cat who insists on sandwiching himself inbetween.

I have a 2 screen set up. I can't really imagine a 3rd monitor...
My Cintiq is a 21 UX and is monitor 2. Haven't really used/assigned any hot keys to the Cintiq, I'm just used to hitting them on my keyboard with my left hand.

AND I am blind as a bat, even with contacts, so the Cintiq and other screen are super close to me-- I looked for a desk that wasn't too deep on purpose.

Whoops. Hi, I'm really bad at remembering to check the forums. Anyway, reviving the thread to add my own contribution now!

The first day or two, I tried really hard to ditch the keyboard and rely on the buttons on the Cintiq. But there just aren't enough buttons for how many hot keys I use... : ( So I ended up doing what most people seemed to suggest and just have the keyboard off to the side.
