Can we post short stories?

Hey everyone.
I'm migrating over from Wattpad and although I had an active account on here for my comics I'll be posting writing from now on.

Anyway....I'm wondering can we post short stories as well as novels on Tapas? I guess they're just really short novels anyway?
Can anyone help?

Yes, you definitely can post short stories! There's no such thing as a rule that prohibit short stories, after all.

It may be best to do a collection of short stories versus creating multiple separate works because of the way Tapas' analytics work. However, I don't see why that would be an issue.

I would suggest a book of short stories. In one way that Tapas is different from Wattpad is that as soon as you finish a work, it sinks fast. So, if you refresh your book with new short stories, you have a better chance to get readers.

Yes. I think you're actually encouraged to do short stories here -- I believe the original idea for the novel section was short "bites" of stories. I've not seen too many around, but I'd read them if I liked the ideas behind them.

I think it is more like short chapter, long stories. They still want 80K+ for their premium, but they want it in 0.7-1.3K 'bites'.

You can definitely post a short story as a single novel! But yes, Tapas analytics does prefer series that continuously updates. Every time you update, it'll appear in the Fresh section of the website/app, so that's where you can gain more visibility. So I agree that a collection of short stories would probably do better if they're under a particular theme or concept.

And please post short stories, readers love options: sometimes you want a novel other times you want something self contained.
Best advice is what everyone else has said, go for a collection instead of individual short stories. It will be easier for your readers to read your new work plus you'll get more subscribers!
