Can you add animations to your comic?

I have a comic on tapas and webtoon and I would love to create small animations at the ending of some episodes as an extra. So I’m wondering if this is possible and if it is, what are the requirements and limitations?
Can you only do gif style animations or also longer things?
What type of file does it need to be?
And anything else I might need to know?

Should be possible on tapas, not so much on webtoon! You need to be a webtoon original for animated panels.

Tapas does support GIFs. The only restrictions are the same as for PNG/JPEG for size of file and canvas.
