The most popular websites like youtube and tiktok are difficult when it comes to gaining followers. I remember when I was on yahoo answers, I easily gained a huge following on that site and that is what I want to achieve again.

I don't really care what kind of site it is, can you just recommend me a website that you think I will gain a easier following on?

Generally it is easier to gain a following on tiktok because of the algorithm but with most places where it's easy to get a following people aren't as invested in you because they are following thousands of people. If you find getting a following hard on tiktok either you are unwilling to put in effort or you're not good at making videos and shouldn't want to be on video platforms, but tiktok is the friendliest algorithm for newcomers I know of.

The way you talk about it seems like you want followers just to have the numbers and honey the number in itself is meaningless and can very easily go to very unhealthy places if you get too stuck on it. The only reason creators care about the numbers is because a certain amount of those people are invested in what you do and create enough to lead to you being supported (financially or otherwise) enough to make what you love. Having a following on yahoo answers or tripadvisor or Skyblog just doesn't translate to that.

The only method know but its shallow and very dumb, and even illegal in sites like Tapas, is to buy bots.

Like, the most used platforms should be enough.
Now the thing is what do you post, why people should follow you, what interesting thing you do, or what common thing you do in a unique matter?
Are you friendly, are you charismatic? How often would you post new content in that platform?

There is no cheat nor easy route, so whatever it is that you're doing then you'll have to put effort in making it, keeping a decent quality of it and consistency. A lot of people don't gain followers overnight and even if they do, in order for those numbers to matter you'll need to continue putting into great effort and understanding of the audience.

In my opinion, getting followers is a lot easier than getting engagement - if your goal is numbers, just interact with a large number of people and some of them will reciprocate. However, on any given platform, the majority of your followers are not going to engage with your content. Among the ones who do, most of them are going to like / favorite and move on.

If you want more substantial engagement (comments, critiques), I'd recommend building relationships and engaging meaningfully with other creators / readers. Personally, I'm more likely to comment on the works of people I know and have interacted with.

Instagram and Xitter are well known for their follow bots. You spend the money and your numbers will go up.

Otherwise you need to do it the hard way.
