Ok? That doesn't change anything. It would still be a secret rule that they don't tell artists about until they've run afoul of it.

They're an american company so they're beholden to american laws, sensibilities, and, most importantly, american app store guidelines.

But the web version is not beholden to the app store. And I'm not on the app. As I've clarified.

I suppose I shall quote my original post then: "Am I the only one who's had this problem? Is it an overly enthusiastic moderator or a bot that's made this decision on their own, regardless of the actual rules? What's going on here?"
I wanted to check in with the community to see if others have had similar issues or perhaps knew what was going on. Alas, I've gotten nothing useful as of yet.

My original comics "little Ball of Hate" had episodes taken down about 80 episodes into its 125 episode run. They had a detailed, episode by episode list of changes. It was everything from a woman's back that was naked (you saw nothing) to a line on the crotch of a bikini they say was an out line of a genital. All cloth over the genital area had to be smooth. The line in question was an overlap of the leg (artist mistake), and was tiny so on a phone you would have to zoom in to see it. They were also concerned with butts and how far down the panel goes. Most of the panels I just moved word balloons around to "fix" it. In no way was my comics porn, soft or hardcore. It all depends on the moderator a that looked at it. Webtoons on the other hand only had problems with violence, cartoony as it was as my style is Disney-like. But I did upload the different tapas comics episodes to Webtoons so they matched. They did have a problem with a nude woman in a ghostly form I had to change because of "side boob". She was literally see through. The problem is you are publishing on their platform so you can't really do anything about it. They blame the web platform on Android and Apple, but both have artistic life drawing aps that have nudity. The people doing the moderation just error on the side of caution for no reason. Android and Apple don't want porn on their apps, art they're are not worried about or things like fine art apps for museums would be censored too. But it's how they play the game.

I found it all frustrating using the US ratings system.
So I post my censored PG (PG13 US) which I have on Tapas onto Fables Pro.
It does not use credit card companies, so it allows for a more wide spectrum of a ratings system. It does SUPER GOOD on there. I get a couple thousand views a month. Here its like 50.
It has G, PG13 (mature) and up.
Here I have to make black outs that look like solid forms. I do the same on Webtoons too. I even censor already full covering bikinis.To be fair. Ive stared to even censor men who were topless. Eh breasts are breasts, it could be sexual nudity to some. So better cover my butt there too.
Its gotten to the point, I might be pulling away from Tapas and Webtoons soon.
Ive had moderators be kind and tell me what needs to be adjusted on Tapas at least.

I knew webtoon were excessively conservative, but it's starting to sound like some Tapas mods are as well. I know from the change in language in the replies that I've interacted with at least two different mods so... yeah. I'm under no illusion that there's any talking to them about changing the ruling.

They do give you clear instructions on what to fix, I'll give them that, but you'd think it would be easier to just be up front with what the rules actually are instead of playing catch up like this. However, after trying to communicate this with them repeatedly and getting "oh, you can draw it and then we'll look at it and tell you if it's ok" answers instead of, you know, clarifications on what the rules are, I've got the impression that there are no actual rules, just... vibes.
I'm not really sure if I can work with that to be quite honest, but moving a 550 page comic and updating all pages again is exhausting just to think about.

I assumed that if I kept the rare nudity on a level where I wouldn't need to explain anything if a four-year-old saw it, it would be fine. Apparently that's too sexual for Tapas -.-'

I'll look into Fables Pro, I think (thanks for the tip). The comic's doing well here (10-20k a month and lovely regular commenters) but I can't deal with arbitrary censorship like this.
My creativity has plummeted due to this nonsense and despite repeated attempts to get the moderators to actually spell out the rules they keep being evasive to the point where I suspect that there are no actual hard rules, just a general vibe.
