My experience is not at all in an artistic business, but some of it may apply anyway.
I gave my business a name that exists and is a relatively frequent word in British English, but from my clients, I got the bad surprise to see that the word does not seem to be used much in Canada, where my business is located. Most people don't recognize it or struggle to pronounce it. It's a 5-syllables greek word, so for people who don't know the word it's a similar difficulty to your name.
Well, after years of use, I'm pretty happy to have this name, because in my business, it's more important for a name to be recognizable than to be remembered. People always recognize my name because it's weird, and because competitors have all similar and very standard names. My name stand out. But, for eg. was difficult to get the social media to start working, because only a few clients would remember what to search for.
So really, I think you have to ask yourself what is most important: being recognizable or being easy to memorize.
Your initial name is extremely recognizable but probably very difficult to memorize, while Alpha Idol can be memorized easily but would most likely have very poor recognizability (if that's a word).
