So, my webcomic, Nameless Fools, (https://tapas.io/series/NameLess-Fools) has been going on since 2016 listed as comedy. I always wanted several categories, but had to settle for just comedy at the time.
I haven’t worked on it for almost a year after needing a break and working on a different comic and other things, but as I’m gearing up to return to it, I plan to move the tone forward in a more dramatic way, while still having some of the comedy it’s had in the past.
I’m just wondering if this is a good idea to change the category to drama mid series (and maybe back or to another later down the road) and if there could be any drawbacks to this decision? I don’t know what would be a drawback hence the question.
I was also wondering if maybe it was getting lost in the comedy pool since that category seems to be getting some of the most of the readers. My other far more slowly updated comic, Dogman in the Infinite World has a higher ratio of subs to content and it’s also a drama, which seems to be a far less occupied category. Nameless Fools is a little off beat, so I always wondered if it fit the categories, especially compared to the others.
