I'm drafting up a survey to give to my subscribers at the end of a chapter to help me get a better idea of how people feel about the series, and thought I'd ask

  • what are some good questions to ask subscribers to get good feedback and gauge engagement?
  • does anyone have any tips on making a survey that stays fairly informal while still being informative on quality and engagement?
  • what are some good ways to incentivise subscribers to take the survey?

Hmm I tried some sort of experiments in my comic like, making the episode more enjoyable and funny, with a couple jokes, some pretty silly ones and others more elaborated, because the pacing is very slow, since it's a mystery genre

The last episode, which has more elaborated jokes with movie references got more engagement than any other episode so far. But it also takes time to make one episode like this

I've never done a survey, but I can feel what my readers think about the comic when they take their time to comment and leave a like, if they don't, maybe there is nothing to say about it

true, actual engagement is worth taking into account, but theres lots of people who wont comment publicly who will still have useful feedback if you give them prompted questions in a combination of multiple choice and statement options. while its become habit for me to leave a like more or less regardless of how i felt abt an episode, i rarely comment unless i have something witty to say - id be far more likely to fill out a survey i think.

Maybe you can ask which characters they love/hate and why and about their favourite chapters.

questions i would like to ask my readers......(this may not help )

  1. do you know where the like button is?
  2. Why can you not press a like button when you have enjoyed the page?
  3. Do you know where to leave a comment?
  4. why have yo never left a comment?
  5. why have you never thanked the artist for his/ her time?
6 are you going to finish that sandwich?

these are questions i would like to ask but chances are my subs will go down if i do.
