I based my character Brian's wolf-like look on Mason Greyback from Wizards of Waverly Place, but I'm kind of worried they might look too much alike. What do you think?
You can always change details and add completely different features, since it's not a coincidentally similar design - like giving him a different facial hairline, maybe thinking about a new haircut.
They don´t look too similiar +what if they did? I still wouldn´t worry about it at all and I think that many comicbook characters were developed in a similar way.
Off topic but I had the biggest crush on him when watching wizards if Waverly place.
I think your good. Even characters that have no real life inspiration end up looking like someone. Plus the more you devellope and draw this character the more they'll subtly shift in design.
