@amberberry @DokiDokiTsuna @elisabeth_ist The update is live! Please check it out and let me know if you're able to paste from Microsoft Word now without spacing issues.
It works for me! Thank you very much
Tried it just now; looks good~
I don't know how useful this is, but I learned today that you can use Chrome extensions on Edge browser! https://www.howtogeek.com/411830/how-to-install-google-chrome-extensions-in-microsoft-edge/ so Edge users can check it out~
MVP. Thank you very much <3 . You're the best. Teehee
How did I miss this thread?I will be giving this a test run on one of my more heavily italics-using chapters later and will report back. Especially since certain characters I have, their entire dialogue is in italics, so it'd be every few paragraphs the italics would need to be retained at a minimum.
It's been awhile, so I'm just giving this thread a bump to encourage discovery of the extension by more writers~~ ^ ^
Early thanksgiving bump~
You did WHATTTTTT??????? I have to check this soon
I don't know who you are but I love you
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I can't believe I missed this for a month. But now I can finally bring my formatting here.
Thank you again.
Does not work "instantly" in the browser Brave.I copied the text to paste in, clicked the extension to use and it carried the first set of italics in the first 2-3 paragraphs. Cleared the text from Tapas, and clicked to use the extension again. The second time it carried the italics all the way to the final paragraph.
Hi @nostalgicroxas! Could you also share what software you are copying the text from (Word doc, google doc, text file... etc etc) just in case that is related to the issue? I haven't heard of Brave before but I'll check it out when I have some time
Brave is another browser like Chrome, operates on the same "chromium" specs but is largely more secure. I'm copying from a DeviantART text that has the italics (since I'm too lazy to find the .doc file usually lol) https://www.deviantart.com/nostalgicroxas/art/Nearly-There-Nicely-77-597341841 <- specifically I was copying from this chapter the segments between paragraphs that contain phrases [three fingers] to [before I do]. So it has italics at the start, and the end of the segment.
Also noticed something minor (again the browser Brave). When I use the "Paste" function, it doesn't automatically register to Tapas that words have been entered. No problem, just need to pop in and make a space or something and it updates.
Hello, the paste action didn't preserve the italics when I tried it today. Did I do sth wrong or did the extension break?
Try right clicking and then pressing Tapas Paster.Don't know if you already tried it, though.
I tried "Ctrl+V"-ing, but that doesn't help. Directly pasting doesn't work either.
Oh,damn. If you're using mobile, then this won't help.
I did try it. I wonder what's the issue
How about trying to reinstall it altogether? Wait, did I install it? I forgot how I got but you get the idea.
Hi @wocalichofficial! May I ask what program you are copying the source text from and what OS/browser combination you are using?
