Clip Studio - making manga pages?

I'm a bit new to Clip Studio Paint therefore I don't really understand the correct way of making manga pages. When you go into creating a new file there's a ton of "presets" and I don't really understand what each one means or does haha. I'm also not sure of the size I should make the page. (Although it's probably already preset to a size with one of the presets) I can't say I understand those guide lines either.
Are the guide lines basically to show you where to draw IF you were to print it? (I don't believe this tiny manga will ever get printed though, It's not for me so I wouldn't know exactly but it's too small to get printed.) Like draw the panels on the right side of the page for exactly so the crease of the book is blank. (If that makes sense.)

Stupid questions: Do I draw out the panels myself or are there preset panels? I think I would prefer drawing it out myself, as maybe most people do.

sorry i dont have the time to make a tutorial to explain the page layout process however the tutorial below is the best guide i found for new users and he has others too.

the basic answer to your question is set up your page with the frame tool and below your frame layer you need you ink and sketch layers. sorry i know how vague that is but the video should help.

The video doesn't really help at all with comics but thank you anyways :> I'll try and play around with it, using your basic answer. Still gonna do some more research for my real questions. thanks

He goes over everything (incl. settings, if I remember correctly) except screentones. For screentones I'd recommend this video:

Correct, though I recommend following them anyway because it will help to get into the habit of having an eye for the safe zone and the bleed areas.

Not a stupid question at all! CSP has various options available for paneling. If you look in the presets you will find some templates:

You can also manually create panels by going to Layer --> New Layer --> Frame Border Folder.

Then use the Frame Border Tool and select "Cut Frame Border". You will have to adjust the vertical and horizontal gutter size to your liking. Horizontal should be a higher number than vertical. It's just the standard, but the actual sizes can vary. Then you can use the tool to slice across the frame and divide it. Hold shift to keep it perfectly vertical or horizontal.

They certainly are! The good hing with CSP is basically that you can solve a problem (e.g. panels or screentones) with different approaches - the program is very flexible and allows for personal preferences
Would you share some of your results with us when you have tried it out? I'd love to see some!

Sorry for such a late reply, i forgot to check the forums. but CSP has been a big learning experience. Although it's still a bit confusing, hopefully I can make the project look very nice!
