Hey! My name is AwesomeSoFar, and I'm a novice webcomic writer looking for an artist for my newest webtoon. I've collabed with artists several times on various short comic scripts I've written, and they're all being drawn right now. but the grind never stops, so I started working on my first long-form webtoon - the one I'm hiring for in this post.
The Premise:
Ronnie Skye finally mustered the courage to come out of her room after years of shutting herself away from the world. But when she discovers the person who stayed by her side all this time has been kidnapped, she must fight her way through her post-apocalyptic hometown if she ever hopes to see her again. Against opponents that crush her spirit, can Ronnie find the strength to keep fighting? or will she lose her last chance to overcome her demons?
it's an action comic in the vertical scroll style, mainly set in an urban, post-apocalyptic sort of environment. there's a total of maybe 5 characters, and it's supposed to have around 28 episodes total. the job includes designing these characters and setting. I don't have a very specific art style in mind, aside from maybe an anime/manga style that would suit an action comic. other than that, I'd rather you make it in whatever art style you're most comfortable with. as for color, I had partial coloring in mind. like making the characters have some color but keeping the background in black and white. we can discuss these details in dms if you decide to reach out about the job.
with that said, here's the script for episode 1! it's about 4 times longer than the average episode will be. even if you don't wanna draw it, I'd love to hear your opinion. note character and setting descriptions are in another document, so they're not included here.
For another example of my writing, you can read my published short comic, "Goodbye, Rival" here on Webtoon and Tapas. although I have to warn you, it's almost a year old and I've gotten a lot better since then. And here's my Twitter for verification purposes.
as for the payment, 20$ an episode is about the best I can do. the episodes are around 20 panels in length, although that can change if you choose to recycle panels or go off the script. I'm cool with both, as long as it doesn't compromise too much of the story. episode 1 is around 4 times longer than the average episode will be, so the pay for it would also be 4 times bigger as well.
as for the schedule, I'm open to suggestions, but my hope is to post one episode a week consistently. considering all of my responsibilities and how little time I actually have to write, I may not be able to write a full episode in a week - but I'm sure as hell gonna try. I'd also like to try creating a buffer before we start posting, but how many episodes it'd have can be up to you.

looking forward to working with you!
