Don't know too much about coffee and not a huge fan of it. It's dangerous for me to take too much caffeine because I'm already a high-grade insomniac, so I prefer a darker roast > lighter ones and will usually take it one cream one sugar. During finals season when my ass is parked at the university library for 8 hours straight and I need a boost without consuming any more caffeine I might ask for a double-double although I find it obnoxiously sweet.
As for teas, I usually drink Chinese tea over Western ones. My family has a nice collection of Pu'er and Oolongs and I drink a lot when I'm home (nothing added, as is typical with Chinese teas). We own those giant 15-item tea sets with the fancy wooden layered tray and shit and when my dad feels like it he pulls the thing out and holds a mini tea ceremony for himself just cause. When I'm not home I drink more Japanese teas (esp. Sencha and those nice barley ones) as well as those flavoured drinks at Starbucks and such. Generally not too picky aside from the fact that I hate spiced teas and I'm not a fan of most herbal teas.
I would love to become more tea-savvy. Was thinking of trying out those tea subscription boxes, hm...
