Comic Trivia Thread

Hey I saw this on another site and thought it was a great idea. It's a thread where you post trivial information about any aspect of your comic, the idea being to post one piece of trivia per day so as not to overwhelm the post.

**Basically, you post ONE piece of trivia about your comic per day.
Mark your post as Day # or Trivia #**

For example
HOTWAB Trivia #1: The first character featured in my comic, StormGod was actually my first level 40 MMO character from Champions Online.

The idea is that people can jump in to the thread and take a bite sized read of an interesting fact about your comic. Do please comment on other people's posts, but only post 1 comment per day yourself and try and be succinct. Anyway I thought it would be a good idea, have fun!

Re:birthGateTrivia #1: The woman Anne was meant to smash her shovel in the MC's face near the beginning of the Pilot Chapter. For some crazy reason, the author decided not to go along with that idea. Another sign of my bad decision making is the fact that Anne's vest collar has changed shape and size at least five times in the chapter. Count them if you dare!

Hey cool idea. Also, neato on making your MMO character into a comic. I wonder what I'd make of my night elf hunter of World of Warcraft.

Salt Trivia #1: The comic originated as a stress relief activity due to being a college student after a rough break-up. My friend started calling them "salty" since they were personal (some of which I'll never actually color/post here due to some being way too salty) and I said I'd just call the comics "Salt" then. And welp, here I am.

Household Slime Mold Trivia #1: The characters were originally planned to be a part of an RPG maker game about magical girls/boys.

Neon Rabbit trivia #1: All the character mutations are based off animals, expect for the main character, Dakota.

Grassblades trivia #1: The nervous priest and the creepy snake-tongued demon in chapter 3 are both characters from a comic I first made in college, called A Thousand Miles of Wind, who got to cameo in Grassblades because they fit so neatly - and as a wink and a nod to my friends, who read the old comic. The priest's name - which goes unmentioned in Grassblades - is Toshiyuki.

@nessiefynn Haha, what a fun coincidence! I'm currently working on planning a comic that is a kind of expansion on an RPGMaker-game I haven't made (yet)! XD

BioHazard Trivia #1: My name is Jonathan, my MC's name is Jon and every name of each member of the BioHazard team is based off my friend's IRL name. It started because back in high school I asked them what powers they would like to have, so I christened their characters after them and BioHazard was born!

That's really awesome and I think that's a more fulfilling intro to your comic than any type of hype, hence my subscription!

I dunno if I'll remember to do this everyday but here goes:

Knights started out as the story my brother and I came up with for a video game. It was supposed to be a mish-mash of all the games we liked. The strategic fights of RPGs like Final Fantasy, the dungeon crawling of Zelda, and the insane weapons and action-oriented game play of Bayonetta and RWBY (which is not a game but I wanted ridiculous gun-swords... because... science? Because MAD Science??). The project itself proved way out of our league though by the end I got relatively decent at blender....

The J-Man Web Series Trivia #1

Whenever we go into flashback to Jonny Regionson Jr. (The J-Man) as kid, he wears a red shirt, orange shoes, and has a very circular head. This is actual an inside joke as this was his first design way back in 2011, before I made the original mini-series in High School.

He had a circle head back then 'cause I was going for a more cartoonish look then now and my general knowledge of anatomy was extreme limited. The reason I changed his costume from red to green was because
1.) I decided to make aliens a primary component and green worked better
2.) I thought that too many characters use red as a main color, so I changed it.
The orange shoes..............I have no idea why I changed it. Maybe because it didn't look good. To use less colors. Can't remember.

Neo's originally name was "Cain" to go with the religious themed name along with his father Noah and his younger brother - Abel. But I soon changed my mind because Cain was never Father's favorite while Neo used to be Noah's favorite. It would go against the plot to have a father who loved his child intentionally gave him such kind of name when he was first born. So Neo (meaning "gift") it was haha

Rooftop Bookshop Trivia #1: I created Rory to be a warm, kind character and didn't want to focus on gender because I was worried that people would see them as sympathetic 'because they're female' or 'weak for being empathetic' because they're male. I don't care whether Rory is called a boy or a girl and neither would Rory. I just wanted a character that showed gender doesn't matter, a good person is a good person... And Z was made to contrast that with his snarky personality and balance it out in a sense. Also they're best friends.

Of Fairies And Ghosts Trivia #1: Each of the main characters has a different position and feeling about their powers and linage. Camelia embraces and values it, trying to experiment with her powers. Anne Marie ignores it to the max, just wants to be normal. Peter is the most pragmatical one, simply using his powers when they are useful.

Uh, okay let's see...

Zotagius Trivia #1 Zotagius originally started out as a small school assigment in 2011. Which was to make a short 3 page comic starring 4 characters in a setting of choice. I was a big Left 4 dead fan, in which you play as one of 4 characters in a zombie apocalypse. I made my own version of Left 4 Dead, where the characters was students at a abandoned school.
I kept expanding the comic as I got new ideas, until I rebooted the series in 2015.

Centralia 2050 Trivia #1 :
A couple of these trivia are name-themed, so I'll chime in! The three main characters of Centralia have colour names that are loosely themed to their character. :>

Midori (green) has green hair, is naive, and cheerful. Weiss (white) has white hair, and you could compare her to a ghost or the white rabbit in that she's an elusive figure being pursued by Midori. And Grey (... gray :B ) is melancholy and a bit serious-- his hair's not gray, but that might change by the end of the story :1
