Recently updated our comic, and curious to see what other comics take place in the city
As an artist, the backgrounds are kicking my a** but I'm slowly getting better, even if it's just tracing google maps images lol

it's fictional, but it's set in Texas USA

ADB is set in some major city somewhere in North America...

M1 is set in Toronto, Canada

Omg, my (the artist’s) mom is from the Philippines. So rare for me to come across comics in that setting in the open world. Awesome-ness!

Yea bgs can totally kick our butts, likewise and especially with urban/industrial environments just so many details shop signs, and trying to make everything feel lived-in and cinematic. Glad to hear you getting better, tracing from google maps is a start keep it up!

Mines set in an entire fictional country with lots of city -cities being destroyed by a Giant Kaiju by the rate things are going, and for more absurdity one of the MCs puked out said Giant Kaiju. The name of the country is Heavensea, imagined it being more towards the north Pacific and highly industrial.

Pukezilla!

Was a project that started as an Action-Horror game idea where the player was the carrier of a virus and anyone he infected would instantly turn into monsters that would kill you on sight. The player had to avoid infecting others as best as he could while also trying to rescue them from the already infected. Side effects allowed the player to manipulate states of matter and granted a fighting chance! (liquid, solid, gas, plasma etc)
Games like Infamous, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil and Tekken Force were inspos, it's packed with many sub-gneres as a result tbh, (the MCs are also a gay-straight brother duo but it eventually builds into a group dynamic as they meet other carriers)

Fictional cities = lots of fake brands too XD

My novel is building up to taking place in a city. Its really meant to, I just wanted to spend some time outside of said city before we get there.

my comic "galaxies, magical girls and chaos" takes place exclusively in a tokyo-inspired fictional city, and its about magical girls, found family, shenanigains, and it kinda grew a plot on me, so you can look forward to that!

the story summary is that its a semi-parody of magical girl shows (dark or otherwise) thats more inspired by those stories, about an adult who became a magical girl named yasakani nanase, and her mentoring a newbie magical girl named torio tamari, with the help of her best friend aotsuki aiko and mascot/aid, mau. all the while trying to help tamari with her life, due to the fact that tamari is a teenager, and a badly adjusted one at that.

tldr: giving magic to a teenager is probably a bad idea, and now its nanase, aiko and mau's problem

currently we are still in the prologue, which is about how nanase became a magical girl, and the start of her journey, along with setting some groundwork on how this stuff works.
