Computer options for digital artists

My Fujitsu Lifebook T734 is coming to an end, so I've been looking for a new computer to art with. Problem is, right now I have no desk, so a desktop is kinda out of the question, as is a laptop-tablet setup. Does anyone have any recommendations for a convertible laptop to tablet? I've looked at the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and the Lenovo Yoga, and both seem to have somewhat lukewarm reviews, but I can't really turn up anything else that has the RAM or processor I'd like. I was hoping for something with an i7 and 16GB RAM, preferably with a hard drive on the larger side, under $2k. Is this plausible, or should I start looking for someone who can build me an art rig? Any recommendations? Anyone have experiences with the Surface Pro or Yoga?

Yeah, that's pretty much what the Yoga and Surface Pro are. The only other one I can find that has consistently decent reviews is the Microsoft Surface Book, and the only one that suits what I want to use it for is at least $700 over my budget. Thanks for the idea, though.

If you're in the states, and have a decent idea of what you want, Dell Outlet sells refurb computers and tablets for real cheap. Some of them have custom parts that make them really nice and a really good deal. I used the outlet to get a desktop, but I know they have surfaces, usually, and for a lower price than you'll get at a store.
