So I had this idea:
A mini-series adapting very small chunks of books or short horror stories of the Latin American boom. I wouldn't adapt the whole stories just small bits as to encourage the reader to read the original.
The reason? Introducing more English speakers people to this literary movement.
I think it's a good, viable project to recover my love for comics as well as an opportunity to read more and improve my English grammar (that's so far is pretty bad).
Some of the works I planned to adapt are:
Alma by Carlos Fuentes.
Puente en la selva (Bridge in the jungle) by Bruno Traven<------(this one really doesn't fit within the movement but I like the book so much)
El almohadon de plumas (The feather pillow) by Oracio Quiroga
Macario by Juan Rulfo
I'm being kind of flexible with the selection here, so if you have any suggestions feel free to write them down.
What do you think of the proyect?
