So I’m new to this I’ve tried for almost a year or now procrastinating and contemplating. So I just have no clue how to start a comic. I’ve watched videos and everything it just doesn’t make sense or look good to me. How do I do it? The script is already 20 chapters in and just waiting on the characters to make come to life. Also I’m not much of an artist anymore and looking for someone to liven it up a bit.

you don't have characters, or character visuals yet or what?

Try writing down descriptions and such of your characters, and make them pretty detailed.

I have characters and everything written but when I try to draw it out on my tablet I just can’t anymore.

Just start. Even if it looks like crap it's better than nothing

First comic page of my "career" in making comics

See you have more planned out than I did when making a comic.
This is what my first attempt looked like. I had no story set up so I was just going off instinct or whatever random ideas I had

Oh, well in that case, I say just practice and take your time. If you make a specific note to practice regularly, you'll improve and be able to achieve your goals eventually. just be patient with yourself.

if your struggling with how to nail things down it may help to make a rough script if you dont already have one to help make clear the scenes you're trying to depict, the character dialogue or what action a character is taking in a given moment. you can even do this alongside rough thumbnails or little stick man comics if that helps to make that vision clearer

as for quality, if its your first attempt at a comic, you dont really need to worry about it and should instead just put your focus to finishing the thing or at least organizing a few finished chapters than tarrying over whether it looks good coz you'll simply improve as you progress (it's just the nature of these things)

other than that it's like folks have said, be patient with yourself, take your time and dont overthink just create and try to have fun with the process
