Creators and Readers: What's Your Favorite Season or Holiday in Comics and Novels?

For Creators: What's your favorite season to draw and why? Is there a specific holiday you are always excited about making a special art piece or special episode for?
For Readers: What's your favorite season to read/see in comics and novels and why? Is it because it's just your favorite season or is it because the possible events that could take place during that season? Is there a favorite holiday you like seeing in comics and novels?

As a creator, I love drawing snow and all the little details of Christmas, the snowmen, the Christmas lights, the presents. One of my favorite panels is one that mentioned Christmas so I got to draw those little details:

So I am excited when my comic will be in winter or when it's closer to Christmas so I can create a Christmas special episode.

As a reader, I love reading love stories/romance so seasons that are the most romantic or usually set the tone for romantic happenings are my favorites, spring or winter are pretty romantic. I love the thought of a couple being amongst flowers or walking around town during the winter with the dazzling lights or snow. But, even non-romantic stories, I love seeing winter holidays and seeing different traditions creators portray in their stories. It gives me comfy-cozy kind of feelings.

There are no seasons in the world I'm writing about. Just fire, fire, and more fire.

Ok, seriously though! Given the spooky/edgy nature of my work I really enjoy making Halloween content. Halloween has always been my fave holiday to the point where when I was a very young girl, I thought my closet door would lead to Halloween Town if I opened it juuuust right on Halloween. (Yes, Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my fave movies. xxD)

As a creator: I love autumn! It has a spooky vibe to it that is just perfect for suspense, dark fantasy and gothic romance. Plus the clothes are so good! I can imagine long coats and boots on my characters so that makes it interesting hehe.

As a reader: Any season. As long as they can portray a full moon night brilliantly, any season. Maybe that's not even important, but moonlit sceneries are always a plus!

I love writing white Christmas. It's always both cold and warm at the same time. My personal favorite would be writing a story of someone on the way home on christmas eve, and was greeted by their loved one! For similar reason, I also love writing new year stories, though I prefer to write about spending new years at home in quietness rather than in some new year festival. I really love me some cheesy romantic calm stuff lol.

As a reader, I love any season other than summer (lol) (I can feel the heat even outside the story). Personally, I love winter (yes, the same again) and early spring (not that I ever experienced both seasons LOL). I just like the tone of both season. And winter has christmas! I love reading about Christmas and New Year on any form of fictions, but I love some Halloween art in comics too.

As a creator I love drawing spring and autumn scenes, even if i don't do bgs/environments that often. They're the most colorful seasons and i live for the freedom it gives me to go wild on colors and color variety! Gimme those vibrant autumn leaves and those bright colorful flowers, please

As a reader its about the same but if a person can render or describe any season really well or give the specific atmosphere then I'll take literally whatever

In first place may be Christmas in my heart, but I like Halloween too, it's in second place ^^ I like the plethora of interesting spooky tales as well as how different cultures celebrate those who have departed. Also drawing characters all dressed up as well as dressing up in real life is always fun And man, now you got me all nostalgic for Halloween Town movies!

@Dysis Oooh full moons are so beautiful and mysterious too, love the duality of it because it can be spooky or it can be romantic. Always have had an affinity of a lovely full moon probably because they are tied to werewolves and wolves which I love, so there's also that xD

@shfra13 my thoughts exactly, it's so comfy cozy, warm and cold at the same time. Any Christmas stories remind me of all the wonderful Christmases I've had in my life. I love that feeling of joy it brings for me and to others as well ^^

@VibrantFox I am a sucker for colors. Flowers tend to have such lovely colors and a such a variety of colors too. So I get your love for drawing spring, it's one of my favorites because of that reason too. I love how vibrant the colors are in spring, the grass is such a beautiful hue, especially after it's rained. I like Autumn when the leaves are changing colors, but certain days it can look a bit dreary, so it makes me conflicted xD But, in terms of being a reader, it's great to see how artists portray Autumn. It is actually portrayed as pretty cozy when I think about works I've seen that have drawn autumn.

As creator: I actually have never drawn a seasonaI thing or holiday theme stuff. Sadly to say the place in my comic is not seasonal. I will enjoy draw a hot sunny day when the time comes though. I think I will dread to draw autumn with all the dry leaves.

As readers: I'm not picky on which season, but it has to have some landscape so i can enjoy the look of season in nature. I also like to X'mas scenes.
