Like most of you (I'm assuming) I love giving out coin tips as much as I love receiving them. I checked my tippers list a couple times a week, and did my best to tip back to creators that had it available. Now, with some of Tapas newer statistics in the tip part of your dashboard it is even easier to monitor your tippers, and potentially reward them.

Us creators gotta stick together, and I've already seen many people implementing a 'tip back' policy. But I figured, why not make a post and reach out to other creators. Because I don't want to put words in other people mouths and garuntee they will tip back others just because they tip me back, I'll start out the list with only my account, but if you would like to be added to the list of Creators who Tip Back, just post in here with a link to your profile, and I will add you to the list!

I generally like receiving tips because someone took the time to tip me because they like the amount of work I put into my work and socializing with my readers as opposed to some moral obligation/duty to tip someone just because I tipped them... While I'm not saying this is bad, you really need to consider what it is you're really doing.

@KoreanTacos Thank you so much for your time to provide feedback, I really appreciate it. It's so heart warming to receive a tip from someone who genuinely liked your content enough to tip you, that I think I understand the bigger message that you're trying to get across. However, I've also found it equally as heart warming to go on in a 'tip exchange' with someone, if you will. Someone who liked your art enough to tip you to begin with- and this gets your attention. When looking at their profile (as I'm assuming you do, I love supporting my supporters back!), I generally find something I like or love, then I follow, and if they are so blessed to have tipping activated also, drop a little sign of the appreciation I have for their support. It is in no way something I feel obligated to do, but something I WANT to do to show that I like and support their creative efforts as much as they like and support mine.

So what am I REALLY doing? Making a list of creators who ask to be on it because they want to reach out and support other creators just as much as I do. If being on the list makes you feel morally obliged to tip back every single coin that gets tipped to you, maybe I should reword my initial proposal of the idea. It's just a general 'hey, if you tip me and I see it, and I have coins I try to return the favor' type of set up that I had in mind.

Hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend. I work in the service industry, so my days off are not on the weekend But I hope some of you get to enjoy some time off ^_^

Is there a thread or conversion chart to tell us how much actual money we get for coins? Is it true that a 100 coin tip = 0.08 USD?

Specifically, does someone know how much I'd have to set a post at to receive $0.75 after Tapas takes their cut? Would I really have to set locked content at 950 coins to get $0.76 at the end of the day?

From my experience, it is 12 coins = .01 USD. So pretty much, yes 900 coins would be .75 cents. I don't know anything about keys or locking premium content, so I cannot comment on if the payout there is the same but I imagine it would at least be similar.

With such a low rate of return I wonder why they set the feature to such a high benchmark of subscribers? I assume to prevent bots from moving in ... but as an example our comic is of professional quality, written and drawn by industry professionals and after 9 months and 50 strips we're only at 100 subscribers and 10k page views.

That's a really high hurtle to reach just to get a few cents in return.

I do see lots of comics with hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of page views so that might mean we just suck lol.
