Creators! lets talk about the support program!

so, the new support service thingy is just around the corner and i've been considering to try it out (although i don't want to considering i feel like im not worthy enough to take other people's money yet =3=) but i've been meaning to know what other comic creators think about the program and what incentives they would give to their supporters @^@

so i wanted to ask the question to my fellow artists, why would you use the support program and what bonuses/incentives would you offer to your supporters?

i don't have an answer to those questions yet myself (which is why i don't feel worthy enough to use it =3=) but i want to know what you guys have to say

I might open up for commissions later, but I'm not sure if I will use the support thingy, at least not yet. I really would need to make incentive first

yeah, incentives are hard to think up off, but you can still open up the support program even without them, i guess it would end up like a tip jar if that end sup that way

Yeah, but I actually do have a plan for the incentive, just not the time to make it! XD

Well, I don't have a large following on here, so the support program is still not quite a thing I would go for as far as my comic goes, but if I were to use the program, I'd offer extra drawings and special episodes that are only available to supporters. Maybe!

I'm already in the support program, and here's what I've done so far;

I post comic previews and early info on stuff I'm planning as locked posts for my supporters, and my plan is to give supporters early access to comic updates if/when the update system gets a bit more advanced.

Besides that, the milestone rewards include private livestreams, signed sketches, character designs, and comic cameos.
So far it's going well, and while I think that people support me mainly because they want to help me, the rewards might have incited some of them to donate more than they would have otherwise.

I actually started a topic similar to this a few days ago about supporting comics and creators in general—you should check it out too, to see what other people think about supports and incentives and whatnot

I'm more comfortable with the idea that it's more of a "tip jar" and I'm still navigating the idea of what can be used as proper incentives. I've heard different things from page previews to sketches to livestreams... all kinds of stuff.
