Critique My Possible Cover, Please?

Ok, so, I'm basically making a little comic, just to try it out and test my abilities in preparation for a bigger idea I have. So I plan on posting this comic to tapastic and even though it's just a test I'm really into the story and I want to commit to it. I wish for your opinions on a possible cover I am going to make for this comic, which is a sci-fi. Please tell me the pros and/or cons of it, what I can improve on, ect. What makes a good cover? Anyways, here it is:

If you haven't noticed, it's a WIP. I didn't want to go head first into it until I got some feedback. Would you read this comic?

Right now, I think the success of this cover lies in what is behind the girl. Since the character is not facing the viewer, all the possible interest in this comic is placed in the background. So the background should be very interesting and it should "pop" as much as possible. I think the center of the focus (which currently is the blue dot for the background), needs to be a little more to the right of the girl to help convey depth and interest. Otherwise I like it!

I think the concept is quite cool and I like the general idea for the cover!

I do think there are some things that could make it even better though. For the text, I would move it down a little and also experiment with possibly putting the word "story" next to "human".

I think some compositional elements could also be changed to make the cover stronger. The main elements of focus seem to be the girl and also the blue orb in the middle. Moving the girl and orb a little would help with bringing greater attention to those elements. I would move the girl a little more to the right as to work with the rule of thirds (if you don't know what that is, it's a compositional grid/system that helps to highlight focal points, here's a nice link that kind of explains it ^^), closer to where the left line of the window frame is. For the orb, I would experiment with multiple positions, I can't really think of the best position for it at this point.

One last thing that might help is making the girl's line of sight match with the orb (although if you don't want her looking at that then never mind) Right now she looks likes she's looking straight on and making her body shift a bit more to a 3/4 view might help.

Perhaps it's just me, but why have a cover on a webcomic?
Seems unnecessarily anachronistic.

I would make sure that nothing that's important to the composition is touching or close to the edge of the page. So definitely move the girl and the title away from the edges.

I would experiment with different types of lighting. It would make for a cool design if the girl was backlit by the glowing orb in front of her, so that we only see an outline of her being lit by the eerie blue glow. :>
