I'm a loyal Paint tool Sai user and this is what I use mostly for illustrations.
But when I started doing webcomics, I had to switch to CSP since it's a powerful program with lots of features for comic-making.

However I still find the pen pressure settings lacking not in terms of tweaking features, but it just doesn't have that same feels as Sai brushes.

I tried many tweaks on my brushes to make them feel like my Water brush tool in Sai.
But the pen pressure in CSP is not dependent on the actual "pressure" but more like how small or big the pen tip strokes get depending on how soft or hard you press your pen on the tablet. Unlike Sai where soft strokes makes light colors and harder strokes gives out more paint/color (IDK if I'm making any sense lol)

IDK if anybody else notice this, esp those who switched from Sai to CSP

Same. It was hard transitioning to CSP, I miss my coloring brush in SAI :cry_02:
I liked the lineart pens tho but not the general watercolor brushes, idk about the pen pressure but yeah its definitely difficult to use in my opinion. So I suggest going to clip studio assets and download custom brushes instead, thats what I did and how I found my fav coloring brush. There’s thousands out there thats real good, I’m sure you’ll find what your looking for there :smile_01:

I had VERY similar issues. I also started a thread on this some time ago and I think the responses will be helpful:

I downloaded some brushes that are close to Sai's water brush, but it's still not the same as the one I have in SAI OTL
I really wish there's an equivalent to that brush in CSP or at least a certain setting to achieve it.
But thanks for the suggestion!

So there's the pen pressure menu on CSP that looks like the image below, you want it so more pressure = more paint amount or more paint density. It's the little three bubbles when looking in your tool properties.

Just use one of the watercolour or oil brush types as a base until you settle on something you like. This is my hard edge/soft blend brush with a custom tip/texture, for example, and it's very nice.

I've played with this settings too XD Right now I also tried tweaking the "color mixing" option, which is what I was actually looking for to achieve a close replica of my Sai's water brush.
Still a bit messy when it comes to spreading colors, but I'll try playing more with the settings.

Just wondering what the tilt option is for?
I can't grasp the concept of its use.

Yay! I'm glad you worked it out, when I used SAI I really enjoyed the brushes. You might also have some luck looking on the asset library for a dupe of SAI's water brush as well, I'm sure people have had a similar problem too.

As for tilt, some higher end tablets (like the intuos pro) react when you tilt your pen at an angle to the tablet surface. It's useful for mimicking pencils/the flat side of brushes/a dip pen.
