Mainly it’s because a lot of the forms that the very rare type of shapeshifter that Daecon is line up with creatures of Greek mythology (mainly animal hybrids). I also wanted the characters to have roots in an Ancient but advanced civilization. The Egyptian side will become much more prevalent in the second part though.

My Character Elio is Italian (and lives in New York)-- Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea.

My other character Max is born and raised in Brooklyn, New York-- Tootsie Rolls were invented in Brooklyn in the late 1880s to the early 1900s.

Jerry Lewis was more popular in France than he was in the USA for some reason.

My FLs harbor mom is from France, so this is somewhat relevant, she used to watch his films.

The name Verner means protector and is a Scandanavian alternative to a german name. The names' meaning really fits his character well

My country's national dish is Tres Golpes. It's fried cheese, fried egg, and fried salami with mangu. Probably don't eat it if you value your heart health.

I'm American, but also Japanese. My characters are Japanese most of the time. Kazuya of French Cup is Japanese, living in a neighborhood with a lot of Asians from different countries. Japan indeed does have a lot of Asians living there who are from different countries. I decided to use this fact in my story, to show how colorful Japan can be.

Here's "French Cup", a comedy about drag queens in Tokyo at war with Karens trying to invade their neighborhood. Enjoy!

Hi, I'm from California, USA, (California houses over 300 ghost towns), but I've always been fascinated with multi-regional stories, so most of my stories are a collection of several cultures together. HollowsEnd takes place in a sea town of lost souls from several countries, but the catch is, no one remembers their countries, perhaps the countries they knew no longer exist, or they could be in a totally new world itself.

Here in the Dominican Republic, it's pretty common for women to go to the salon and then walk around ALL DAY with their hair covered by hairnets, even in public and at grocery stores and such. At which point, like what's the point of going to the salon lol?
