Hello all, Saint here with yet another promotion thread. This thread is for the promotion of both novels and comics within the Sci-fi and/or Cyberpunk genre or that has Sci-fi/Cyberpunk influence.

Tell us what inspired your story and to write in this genre specifically.
My main inspiration unsurprisingly came from a lot of anime and films within the genre. Specifically for my story, Ghost in the Shell, Blade Runner, and Ergo Proxy were the biggest sources of inspiration.
Everything from the calm yet eery and unsettling tones and environments, the bleak yet advanced future displayed, the technology, aesthetic, music, thought-provoking themes, and, in the case of Cyberpunk animes, the stylistic approach the creators take with the design of their worlds and characters and how that plays into the tone and themes presented in these stories are entirely captivating to me and makes the genre one of if not my most favorite fictional genre of all time.
I knew from the moment I first laid eyes on the 95' Ghost in the Shell film and Akira that I to wanted to create something as captivating, thought-provoking, breathtaking, and awe-inspiring as these works, and while I am a long way away from making an anime or comic or even a top-notch, "best selling," novel. I chose to use this inspiration, my love of drawing and coming up with stories for the characters I create, and my imagination to make my current novel, "Ex-MACHINA."
A story about various human and android characters, each with their own set of traumas and plights, trying to find their way out of the hell whole fate has tossed them in within this cyberpunk influenced thriller about two detectives and an android (called Auto Droids) working to unravel the mystery behind various androids developing self-consciousness and rebelling against their masters and creators.

Follow the story of two detectives, Beatrice Moreau and Jay Jones, as they work with Auto Droid, Kyle-101 to uncover the mysteries surrounding a chain of murders and hidden plot of revolution being born in the heart of Shiko, California that will either see the birth of a new age between man and machine or lead the city into further ruin.
