Jammed out the revised chapters for the start of Draft 2.

I really like them now. Feels like it's more authentic to the what characters are like in later chapters --you know, now that I have written further along.

Draft 1: 83k.
Draft 2: 3k

I think I want the first quartet of chapters rewritten before I start switching them out.

It's a nice little reward to myself, since an upcoming part of the party sequence too forever to write. My poor Co-writer had to walk me through it because I knew nothing of the subject. They're such a trooper. It's so nice to be able to sit and knock out chapters and rewrites in such a short amount of time. I am incredibly lucky to have them.

I hope this novel does well, because it's such a pleasure to work with them, and we have so many ideas.

That's excellent! I am glad the cooperation works out for you

I am returning to working on the Enemies with Benefits and writing a sequence that I initially thought would be a part of an early flashback. It's a bit slow but I hope I will pick up pace.

I also made some notes for a couple of ideas for the ONC. But with the Wattpad sale, I am not sure if the ONC is going ahead this year.

Everything is okay here, I managed 1K words for two days in the row and will start a new chapter tomorrow with an action sequence. Yay! I love romantic stuff, but an action but is a welcome change of pace

I have written 800 words today but the day is still young. I wrote non yesterday. But I am close to finishing this novel at almost 130K words so I think I might just be like a bit sad its over. A bit burnt out and a bit
burnt out.
Pffft but I guess that's what comes from writing 5 novels and 500K words in 1/1.2 years. With only the past 2 months as a hiatus.

I still didn't have the time to proofread & keep on writing the end of the novel because I've been busy with uni work, had the time just to eat and journal before bed. Oh, well! Tomorrow is another day!

Haven't had the chance to write this weekend because of work and my dad's birthday, but don't have much planned for this week, so I'll probably get to write a lot more

And, exciting news: Open Novella Contest does go ahead, despite the Wattpad sale. They have just published the official rules, so we'll just have to wait for the prompts on February 1st! I am pretty excited, because this is the contest that has really good writing pace and idea behind it, plus promotes the undeservedely shunned novella form.

Been busy on the back-end over here. The fun that is looking for a job is on the mind before money runs out. Yay, for stress.

In good news, the V1 is at 90k words!

V2--the first two chapters are completely, done, chapter three and four are being worked on now.

I'm so excited to start posing them --and to dive into Wattpad.

Still not done writing this party sequence, every time I think I've figured it out, I realize something else needs to happen. I don't mind. It's supposed to be eventful, and really what's a ball without a good fist-fight? LOL.

Slow start of the day. My kid wanted me to look at her presentation, so there went my morning writing time. I also have a lot of reading to catch on since it’s Monday, so... don’t expect a lot of writing done today.

But I low key hope she would try the ONC as well.

The ONC does sound like fun! I think I will make a Wattpad account and try it out, but I’ve heard some not great things about Wattpad before so I’m a little on the fence

The not-so-great things about WP are still there, but in the ONC contest, the ambassadors look at your stories to judge them & you can always hung out with the other participants, so the visibility issues can be avoided that way. If there is one thing the Wattpad does right, it's their commitment to the contests imho. Anyway, you don't need the account until you deicde to actually enroll in the contest, and that's like in the end of February-early March, whenever the first 2K deadline is.

I have a question for you, and anyone else who has submitted to premium.

They ask you for the 5-chapters, yes. Now, do they stop after that and ask you for more, or does it seem like they go to your book on the site and read what's posted from there?

I'm trying to figure out, if they ask for the manuscript, where are they reading it?

They've looked at Tapas version, but they are okay with me sending in the file separately without changing Tapas' version if I do significant edits to try again. If your MS is different from Tapas, make sure to mention it and they can read the file.

Okay, that's what I was wondering!

Because, ideally I want to send them the version where I have made the edits and adjustments, even if it isn't switched over to Tapas yet.

So, I could mention that I have a manuscript of V2, and that's the version/file, I'd like for them to read, even if it is different than what is already on Tapas?

Did they ask for it? Or did you have to mention it?

Obviously, which version they want drastically changes when we try to submit.

My situation was a bit different, because I just asked if they would take a look at the revised version if I chose to rewrite the story in PG-13 style after they've rejected it b/c of too much intense content.
