I love romance sub-plots. They're so fun to write. Currently working on my own slow-burn. I'm just sitting there like, all the players for the reverse-harem haven't even shown up yet.

I say slow-burn but I gotta remind myself that this was her second line of dialogue directly at the poor woman:

“Oh! No! It’s okay!” Forista chirped, “Please! Step on me- Er- travel... with me. I’d- I’d love to have a companion!” she exclaimed, and her parents exchanged nervous glances.

She's not very subtle.

“Nothing special. Vitamins and such.” Baccus turned. “What are you doing here?”
“Why do you think?”
He cocked a brow. “I haven’t had lunch yet, but--”
“--Your father called me.”
“Oh,” escaped him.

^ From mine. So, yup. He is not so great at hiding his thirst.

Her: Hello
Him: immediately goes to undress
Her: No!
Me: YAS!

For some reason, I wrote an epilogue for Enemies with Benefits today... 🤦‍♀️ I guess it was just sitting in my head for a while, and I wanted to write it down before I forgot. Weird how brain operates. Anyway, I hope to do some ONC writing tonight still, but I have tons of figureskating to watch too. So dunno. Anyway, have to go work for now. I wanna write though!

Ended up sitting and knocking out 5 episodes worth of revisions yesterday. Waiting on the co-writer to go though and do their magic.

I had to send an advance to our one friend who demanded to know what happened in the most recent chapters, so watching their reaction was amusing.

New chapters are updated. Main manuscript needs a little love. It's been planned out, but after this one scene I just wrote, the feels still hurt and I'm still ruminating on them.

ONC book has been planned. Gotta go read some Romanticism novels to get that style right, but I'm excited to start writing.

And, I suppose, I gotta find a job. Eck.

How goes the figuring skating? I know nothing about it.

For me it's a new semester, so a need buttload of readings to do. Hope I can finish my AU story next week so it's in time for valentine's Day.

This is a great idea! I've gotten to 18.5k on my current WIP (a story about monster hunters), and I've managed to write 500 words today.

Nice jump from yesterday, nearly 500 words written and a scene finished. Our lovely mercenary Miss Scarlet just called Lady Forista a "good girl" and she liked it.

Gotten to 19.2k (from 18.5k yesterday) so far, and might a write few hundred words more before sleep. At least 500 words a day, and soon I might have a finished story.

I try to keep a daily quote of 250 so I'm pretty happy. I have to have this story finished by the 19th so I can have it up for my patrons and ready to post publicly by the 26th.

I'm listening to a podcast called "the Mando Method" and it's been good for learning about how to write, in terms of consistency, maintaining a routine, and getting stuff done.
