I can finally participate in a discussion woo. This piece was commissioned as I have zero idea how to even start drawing this. This is a full forme faerie. Faeries typically have an elven forme which they can pass as elves. One big difference is when they show emotion or are in need of fighting, their pupils will slit, the sclera turns back, and on the outside of the sclera there will be a fair purple glow.
There is the mid forme faerie where they gain their wings. Their finger nails will sharpen to claws but not too noticeable. Their feet will lengthen as well and gain some claw like attributes. That means that shoes really arent recommended in spar like areas. They also will start to grow in sharper teeth. I.e. their top and bottom canines will start to sharper and grow put. They can still talk but it is common that they will bite the inside of their gums or lips.
Then there is the wings. I really wanted to focus on a wing that is more representative of a creature instead of a regular fairies. There will be four invididual wings, the outer parts are made of bones whereas the inner part is made of a chitin (similar to a dragonfly wings). In mid forme the wings are quite big but nowhere near as big as a full forme faerie. I would say top wings grow to about five feet tall and three feet wide. Bottom wings are three feet tall, two feet wide.
Then there is the full forme faerie which is exciting. Full forme are significantly taller. Faeries themselves are already tall in their elven forme (females around 5'9 and males 6'5 for the average). However, a full forme faerie is around 12'0 - 13-0. Their hands instead of being slight claws are full length claws each "nail" being about a foot in length. All are very sharp and cut skin easily. Their feet also follow more into a dragon like appearance, the toes are also very sharp but not to the length of the hands. Their heels extend slightly upwards.
Their ears pitch upwards and grow a little bit but not too significantly. They also gather two horns on the top of their head. The look varies from faerie to faerie.
The inside of their mouth acquires very sharp teeth. Each tooth, not just their canines, lengthen out. It is very similar to a dragons teeth besides the length being much lesser. However, they hide their teeth until they open their mouth. Their face appears very sunken in, so it would be difficult to pinpoint the sharpness of their teeth.
The body itself is very muscular. Most faeries are muscle in their eleven and mid formes too. However, with the amount of height added on, the body appears more lean with some muscles. Besides that, faeries are much stronger than they appear. Rivaling werewolves with ease.
I forgot to add in that the arms and legs are much more lanky. They extend more than the body itself to where the arms end of past the knee. The calf is also lankiery. It allows for faeries to hunt and catch their prey easier.
The eyes are very similar to a half forme faeries, but this time the pupils are more prevalent. The sclera is still black and there is that outer purple part, but the pupils are more prevalent, the colors being significantly brighter (the color is a various type of purple pending on the faerie and mood).
Then there are the wings. Wings grow significantly in length. Specifically in width. They grow in proportion to a faeries height growth. Each wings is about five feet in height and seven foot in length. It is very similar to a dragon flies wings except the bone is more cut off -- it is very rigid bone that is sharp. The veins and chitin appear like veins that often glow with magic.
I totally forgot about this other part. The arms and legs of a faerie are typically pitch black and start to ombre ish once it gets to half way up the limb. I dont know why I did this, just thought it was cool and a way to represent death. Kind of like gangrene. Faeries are seen as a symbol for death.
The last bit is the skin itself. Its very similar to human skin, albeit a bit paler in complexion. There is also the hint of scales on the body, similar to a dragon or dragonflies. It gives that insect feel .
And the extra last thing is that faeries no matter what form have magic. Magic is taken from life force, either from faerie or other resources. Magic itself is VERY addictive, like a drug. People will go crazy for the more magic they lose. If they use too much, they will find alternative ways to get more (typically murdering for life force). Humans have a little bit of life force but magical creatures (specifically faeries) have a significant amount of life force. It is not uncommon for magic dazed faeries to murder for life force.
Magic can be stored within the body but its lesser than that of an artifact. An artifact can be a weapon, tome, necklace, etc which holds typically a stone containing life force. They can tap into that life force to gain the magic. However, it is still very addictive and can cause black outs, aggressive behavior, and increased murders.
The murders are why faeries get a bad rep. However. They are actually for beneficial in keeping invasive monsters out of areas. They are typically in a group of two to three and consider that their group. However, they can still be aggressive if stuck in a magic induced state.
Faeries can still have some emotion, but most times they lose all thought or humanity in full forme. Older faeries can somewhat control themselves, but a faerie full forme is an entirely different being all together.
Alright thanks for reading!!!
