Mine is Lovely Runner. but instead of purposely time travelling to save someone they love, my novel is someone that time travelled and met their love one. when they were never supposed to.

I read this series online (during Tumblr popularity era) called ‘In the Company of Shadows’. Now that I’m older and wiser, I think it must have been a roleplay that got turned into an incredibly long novel series.

Anyway, it had me in a chokehold at the time and inspired me to want to read more (it was the first story to make me feel in a while).

As I would drive to work and listen to music, my own story began forming in my head (fresh off of that read). I became inspired to start actually writing my thoughts down. That’s how I began writing my story (on my notepad app during an FT job, from all the ideas I developed driving).

Oof, there are a lot of series that inspired me, but not for anything I've put out yet except for maybe Sketchy Business. that was probably inspired by "The Drawing Lesson" by Mark Crilley

A lot of stuff has inspired me. But I guess the stuff that inspired me to make "Rooted Together" were the 1942 movie "I Married A Witch", the 1964 sitcom "Bewitched", the 1973 anime "Cutie Honey" and the 2002 Dutch movie "Minoes".

I was inspired by a lot of things in fact:
Yakuza
Gintama
Castlevania
ATLA
Korra
Hitman Reborn
Symphogear
Precure
Fire Emblem
And so on. Writing it was a long process, before i actually reached serialization, so I took up a lot of inspiration. Heck, some of that inspiration was for different series that I latte merged with Glassflower

To answer the question specifically, for me it was I got pregnant with the tyrant’s child, not because that series was good, but because it was kinda shit and yet I still liked it.

When I was reading it, I came to the realization that I liked that kind of story. With that in mind, I started thinking about what would be an interesting twist on the formula of an innocent girl with pink hair ending up in a relationship with the evil black-haired male lead in a position of power. I then eventually landed on an idea that would in turn become Married to the Duke of the Abyss.

I'm inspired by short-form romance dramas. I recently started watching them and was immediately intrigued by their story structure. I love how hyper-focused they are on the characters and emotions, and I wanted to explore that same intensity in a book. The tropes and drama, how each episode is crafted to make you feel something, really intrigued me. That’s what led me to write in a metafiction-like genre.

Depends on the story, my current ones are very different. With the first being inspired by Batman and Lord Of The Rings plus personal things mixed in aiming for social commentary in a fantasy setting.

While the other is a martial arts story inspired by Hong Kong films I used to watch, Street Fighter and it’s pinup art, as well as my own experiences learning different martial arts.

My entire artstyle started out being inspired by Eddsworld before growing into its own thing. Story-wise, it was JoJo's Bizarre Adventure that got me to write stories when I was a kid. Recently though, I've been getting inspiration by a manga called Kagurabachi since it uses a lot of cinematic shots with nice flow in its pages!!

Mazerunner, and it's gritty-ness. Dangers of the outside and generational themes of civilizational mistakes along with its present sci-fi inspired me to understand my own representation of a world view of hope, despair and uncertainty of the future.(Scorch trails' world is what spurs more of the brutality)

I've always loved the James Bond series, so I've have dreamed of writing a story that is reminiscent of the adventure and intrigue of the series. There is romance, drama, mystery, all my favorite things.
