Disabling comments on comics?

NOTE: I DO NOT want comments disabled on my comic, I quite like my comment section thank you very much.....

So the other day, I was browsing TAPAS for new webcomics and I ended up discovering a webcomic that had its comment section disabled. (You could still like it, though.) However, I couldn't find an option to disable comments on my comic (not that I'd want to.) so I'm curious as to what they did to do that, seeing as it was the only comic I've seen that has done that.

You can disable individual episodes, but not the entire series I think

Yeah it's an option near the bottom when you create a new episode.

It was added recently, it wasn't there before.

Yeah, I also noticed it recently. I see a point of it existing for pages and not for whole series.
