Hello there. Foreign-born, naturalized American here. While I can certainly understand your disappointment and respect your decision to discontinue involvement with this website, I do urge you to reconsider.
I greatly doubt that you will see many changes on Tapastic as a result of the election, and that it will most certainly remain a place for independent creators to share their works. They have never been the subject of government oversight and that most certainly won't change now.
Also, you seem to misunderstand the election process, with the way that you have justified your boycott of this website. American citizens do not directly elect the president, hence why despite winning the popular vote, Clinton lost the election. The electoral college votes are what matter in the end, and even in cases where candidates win states through popularity, those states may have not had all too many electors to contribute votes in the first place. Look here for more of a breakdown.
This is one of the parts of America's representative democracy, a system put in place to achieve some sort of balance and ensure that the country does not get endlessly bogged down with a complicated voting process, and making some level of balance among the states.
This is a system of checks and balances put in place for a reason, and while yes, those checks and balances may have resulted in the election of Donald Trump, please note that it also resulted in the election of a Congress run by a party that has largely disowned him. It is not as if he is running sans limitations to do whatever he pleases.
In summation, "evil" did not win, America did not go out of its way to offend the rest of the world, and this is not the beginning of some Orwellian nightmare that will ruin this website of all places. This is just politics as usual, and the people who find problem with the outcome must find new ways to let their voices be heard. I hope this explanation helps.
