How do you guys deal with it?
I now that it's too early for me to feel this way, but I've been working nonstop on my webcomic for such a long time. and I get zero feedback. I seriously don't know how to feel...

There's nothing to worry about, really. Most comics don't get much attention by their first few updates. When you've worked on something for a long time, it's easy to forget that the readers haven't had much time to get into it. You've already got 20 subs on Webtoons, which is good for a first update, and as far as I can tell your comic has an interesting premise and solid art. (Especially the character design and anatomy is really good, and the first two panels are very intriguing.) Keep it up!

This is a big mood, but Progg is right! It's so easy to forget that your audience hasn't spent as much time with your story as you have. Making comics is really playing the long game, and it can be really frustrating when you want feedback right now.
If you really need to, you can find a close friend or two to share your work with, so that your comic isn't spoiled for your audience, but you can still get feedback and talk about all the parts of your story you just cant wait to get to!!

Thank you so much, I really needed to hear your words right now! You've really cheered me up

I know how you feel. Hell I was uploading solidly for about a month and I still never get feedback, but your art is much better than mine and everyone always has a long way to go when it comes to comics. Sometimes that road is longer than others, and always remember that the time you spend making your chapter is disproportionate to the time it takes the reader to read it, If its weekly it can be 30:1 and if you update big chunks like me it can be over 500:1. So it's always good to take that into perspective.

You are right... Saw your work and it seemed like you put soo much effort/work in to it (really good job btw)

I just power through and work for my own self satisfaction.

I'm my worst critic and it doesn't help that I can be a perfectionist so I beat myself up a lot. A lot of the time I just try to ignore myself and power through. Going for walks or just getting some fresh air helps as well. Take some deep breaths and clear your mind. It's almost as if you reset your thinking.
It works for me time to time. It couldn't hurt.

how i dealt with mine was that I talked with a lot of people about it. My closest friends, fellow artists I knew online, people from forums i don't personally know. Talking about it definitely helped although I admit the discouragement didn't disappear right away. It eventually did after a week or two. Sometimes you just really have to tough it out. Take a breather and then keep going

We all get times like that sadly, though getting 28 subs on the first release is actually pretty good. As you update more people pay more attention. Don't be discourage and as other say talk to other creators and hopefully get a comment about your comic or on your comic. There is always someone that comments on my comic and is what motivates me the most

Your are is good, story seem rather interesting and the first chapter plants some nice mysteries. The only criticism I would have is to try and make the outline a bit more thick, not that the current one is bad, just think a bit more thick line will help in depth. Keep it up and you'll see more people coming around to read it

@NiKons Sadly this is pretty normal, there isn't much traffic for small comics. Of course, it is so hurtful that we work hard for months to get few or zero reactions. We can put the brave face of saying "I'm doing this for myself" but if we are making or comics public we do expect people to see our work. I think you are doing great so far! Just keep interacting and promoting

As for comments and feedback, I see that you are updating all your pages in the same chapter. My buddy Daknight adviced me to upload separate pages, and I can see this also works fine if you want to have more comments and hearts. Let me explain: When you keep updating the same chapter people who have already "heart" it can't do it again, and if they have already commented they might think unnecessary to comment again. If you upload separate pages you will have a comment section for each page and people can comment on the current situation and not the whole story again. And they can "heart" each page. You have a vertical style, maybe upload 2 or 3 pages together and then other 1-3 pages in a new chapter instead of a huge chapter...I hope I didn't explain that too bad

I know that I am not good at all at making comics(both in art and story). But I keep going because; some of my friends when they read it, said they themselves enjoyed the first chapter, the knowledge that if I continue this project to completion the experience I have would carry over to future projects, and the biggest one I'm having fun.
If only one person reads and enjoys, then I will keep going for their sake.

Ohh, this seems really accurate! But, won't people get frustrated if I divide the chapter in that many pages?

@NiKons here in Tapas readers don't mind if you divide the chapters, most comics I read do that. When you start accumulating too many pages you can combine the pages in a full long chapter to have a cleaner navigation. (I heard that in webtoons people expect large updates though). If you are not sure you can visit other comics to see how they do it
Here is mine, even If I don't have a large following the comment section is so fun and interactive.

Here is an amazing comic that divides long chapters into 2 or 3 pages:

It is just a suggestion, what matters is that you are comfortable with the way you are presenting your comic. I subscribed to you to cheer for you!

Ohh, I see! Thanks a lot! Do you advise me to delete the comic and reupload it seperately? Or is it not worth it?

When I changed mine I did delete everything. I had very few subs and about 14 pages, had nothing to lose. XD but maybe you don't have to, your current pages seems like a very fluid introduction and the last page looks like the perfect closure for that scene.

Just had a simmilar thing happen to me! Some friends have discourged me about my webcomic but one thing to remember is that this is only the beginning :3
It always helps to promote your comic on social media, discord, tapas forums, and other sites. Dont be afraid to promote!

Dont be discourged, if you are proud of your comic and have fun making it then stick with it.

Got a link for your comic? Id like to check it out
