Do comic creators lose subscribers from having too many comics?

I had never thought of this before, but is it possible that because you have 5+ comics, people will not view your content because it is too overwhelming?

I think many people see those who have too many comics and then view but since all the comics are incomplete, don't subscribe.
Does it bother you to see someone who has 5+ comics but not a single one of them are finished?
What are your thoughts?
Is it more appealing to see someone with one project going at a time with other projects finished, than multiple projects and none are finished?

Don't believe so, I like to think it brings more variety to the table and gives more to look forward to. If you think about it this would give encouragement if you had more then one follower from different comics and having to cater on what your fans like.

That doesn't bother me much. I'm more concerned about whether or not the author has at least one series that they update regularly. If all their series have not been updated in months (maybe even a year) then I'm less likely to follow them.

Not at all, I'm subscribed to someone who has 3 different comics (two of them are one shots) I've read them all and I enjoyed them. If I really like someone's work then I will check out their other work to see what I can learn from them. I envy anyone who can work on more than one project because I can only work on one at a time.

As long as the comic I'm looking to subscribe to has regular updates, it's unlikely that I'll be put off. If they can successfully maintain regular updates for multiple comics, then that's points in their favour, because it's not an easy thing to do.

However, if it looks like the creator has a habit of starting comics, keeping them going regularly for a little while, and then abandoning them for a different comic, only to repeat this again in a few months' time with the next idea, I might be hesitant to subscribe. Running a webcomic successfully requires a huge amount of discipline, and if I'm going to get invested in a story, I want to know that the author has this discipline.

I don't mind if author has more comics- I know myself how it is to have so many ideas or just being tired of drawing the same characters over and over c: all the comics are differents, have different stories, it doesn't matter that they are from the same author c:
I asked because I currently don't have much time to go online because of uni and my job, so I wanted to subscribe to those ongoing ones, and check out others later, when I have more free time : D

As everyone said, it doesn't put me off. As long as they update, I don't care about how much comics does someone have. I even not unsuscribe from rarely updadeted comics, but I'd propably don't recomend it, nor support them.

I just do what xkcd does where you post a quick comic every other day (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) and skip weekends. But my comics are just short gags (and i have no social life so i have plenty of time to make them) so you might need to reduce it to one a week (or two)
Because most comics tend to have week long gaps, which isn't that overwheming... I think.
But that really depends on the audience you're trying to raech. I'd say just experiment a bit to see what works.

It is kind of an extension, but I have seen afew people on tapastic who have more comics than subscribers.... (and only a few episodes on each comic.) I was quite sceptical. I wanted to open up some discusion about that particular topic.

I actually have never seen a page with someone who had more comics than subscribers. I would hope people wouldn't just not subscribe to someone because their comic wasn't finished. Not if they aren't finished due to a lack of updating than that's a different story.
