Do Tapas and Line Webtoon have age ratings?

After setting aside my last webcomics endeavor, I'm currently working on writing a post-apocalyptic superhero action series.

While it could potentially be read by anyone (I don't decide who reads what), it'd probably considered something that's aimed more at adults... it contains quite a bit of profanity, and depending on the storyline, the comic may include some amounts of gore or mild / censored nudity.

I'm still new to posting comics online, and have not submitted anything to Tapas or Webtoon yet, so I'm wondering how this sort of thing would affect my comic's categorization / general visibility to the public.

Are there age ratings? Would my series get marked NSFW? Do I rate my own comics? Are ratings set for entire series or are they set on a by-chapter basis? How does any of this stuff work?

While I'm willing to bet that the rating of my comic matters much less than my social media activity when it comes to getting people to see my work, it's still a concern.

If anyone has any experience with this sort of issue, please let me know how things worked for you and any problems you faced as a result!

The actual apps have age ratings, I believe Tapas being 17+, and webtoons 13+, or there about. Which doesn't mean much other than you'll see a slightly more mature (but also smaller) audience on tapas.

On Tapas you can mark individual episodes as NSFW for mature content, you do not mark entire chapters or series, however you can include your own warnings in the description.

Webtoons I believe there's something you can check when you first make the series saying it's mature. I don't think this affects your visibility, so much as it provides a pop up warning to readers in the "this may contain mature stuff" way.

Over all, webtoons is more strict about the content they allow.
