Do wait until free episodes support creators?

I read quite a lot of wuf works and when I caught up with those I usually wait until I can unlock another episode with wuf. Since I have a lot to read I don't mind waiting and I use my coins for works that don't fall under the wait-or-pay category. But I haven't found an answer about if waiting for free episodes support the creator.

Sort of. If one doesn't want to wait, and has the ink, they can unlock the updates. (each series have their own wait time) Plus, allows those who want to read it for free to still be able to read, increasing it's visibility; at least that's how I understand it.

Knowing people on the Early Access Program, paying for their episodes does directly support them. I assume it'd be the same for the "Wait for Free" comics too.
