For my previous comic, this guy:

Like 15-20 pages in (out of 70) I was already super sick of drawing his jacket, but since the story takes place over the course of 1 day, basically, it wouldn't have made sense to get rid of it. It's just way over the top and required many more lines to ink than any other character in the whole story xD Thankfully on Page 44 this happens:
And he is temporarily written out of most of the 2nd half of the story 
For my current project, I have a similar problem (I guess I didn't learn the first time??) with this character:
His armor is just too complex, takes too long to draw, and is hard to keep consistent for a main character (for me, at least xD) Thankfully I'm getting to "kill" this outfit in a number of episodes. I'm giving the whole cast a outfit swap and paring him down to this more stylish, chainmail jacket:
Ahhhhhhhh so much better.
